We need ideas for next week, please reply here with some ideas, remember, it doesnt have to be hl related.

Hehe, once again I was too lazy to compete this this week's contest. You guys better watch out though, this week looks pretty boring in the way of stuff to do. My desert combat league is over, so I'll have more time to photoshop .

Ok, I don't mean to insult anyone but I can completely understand why tim and chu aren't going to enter any more. There are some amazing entries and some utterly crap ones. chu's, in my opinion, does not fall under crap and yet I was the only one that voted for him.

There are usually only +-35 people voting (I think). So with 15 entries, the votes get spread out. People who have just as well spent time on their entry get 0 votes. That sucks.

Enough with the short sentences, thing is, there aren't enough people voting to achieve a 'fair' result everyone can live with.
So how will more people start voting? Make it a frontpage event? Post it in General Discussion? I don't know.
It would suck if the contest dies because of a lack of interest.:|

I don't care about the votes. I just find it fun to create a little something that can be compared to other people's work, all having the same source of inspiration(hl2.net), trying to make you laugh (or cry for some).

And the reason I *might* be retiring is just the fact that it has gone from really organized, to just a sideshow that non of the mods really seem to care about anymore. I mean...usually we would have the next week's contest up by Sunday some time, but it's already Monday afternoon and nothing is up yet. I know a lot of the mods are probably busy with other stuff or whatever ( which is fine by me ), but this has happened a lot lately :-/. lol, one instance is how they even forgot to lock the entry thread after posting the vote. I decided to make something real quick just to take up some time and show them this, hehe. Notice how mine isn't on the list? .

Reason we're a bit slow recently is yes we're all suddenly very busy, and being christmas just compounds the issue. Hang in there though, people "retiring" is just silly talk
