I somehow shot down a jet with a attack helicopter's missles.

Damn it was hard.

I used to do that all the time in BF:V. Some guy in a Mig would circle me and I'd shoot him down with my Cobra.

It took some 5 missles to bring it down, but I managed in the end.

tried, but my pilot suddenly ejected without warning and I got killed.


anyway, I wish the missles on the heli were heat-guided.

Little off topic, but while i was flying an attack helli, I was going down to cap a flag, and alluvasudden in my FOV RIGHT in front of me, was the MEC transport helicopter...well...I just reflex clicked my missles, all of them into its side. I can only guess what the gunners were thinking D:

i did this all the time, was great fun, easiest in the Mi-8 though, alot harder to do it in BF2 but i have managed it a few times. good job!

I love taking down transport choppers, its fun, even tho I haven't played in about 2 weeks now :x

i love it when i take down an attack helo with only my anti-tank rockets. i know its not an amazing accomplishment, but it always makes me feel like a badass.

I've never managed to shoot a jet down. I usually ignore them because they suck at shooting me down most of the time. I just flare and take evasive action and they never get me.

That or they ram into me because they don't manage to bank in time....bastards.

EDIT: Along those lines...I remember back in the BF1942 days before DC. I was on Market Garden. An enemy plane shot me down (I was getting rocked by AA). I parachuted out before the blast. I took a shot with my rocket launcher while falling...hit the wing, he's smoking bad. I land and he comes around for another pass at me. He unloads with his machine guns...I pull out my pistol and just start firing at the cockpit. Bullets are getting closer and closer, he's getting lower and lower and closer and closer. Finally just as I started getting hit he explodes and I dive to the ground as the wreckage flies like 2 feet above my head and hits the ground behind me.

Damn was that a cool feeling.

I think they take MINIMAL dmg in BF2. The dmg was a little more pronounced back in BF1942. It's basically you getting the last bit of dmg while their plane is about to explode in a few seconds.

Thats one of those vet war stories you hear. Wish it was vidoed, woulda been pretty badass ;P
