Just wondering how you guys, who have gone, managed to get in. Do you just show up at the doors and ask Gabe for a tour? Or should I e-mail them to see if it'd be alright for me to come by? I live in Vancouver, so getting down there isn't a problem. Since so many people seem to go there, I figured maybe I should too. So let me know how you guys got in, and what you think I should ask em.

I think its time for a lesson in common courtesy :cheese:

I'd say the best thing to do is to email them (or phone) before you go and ask to arrange a date. You can't just go and turn up on their door step and ask for a tour! :rolling:

Take screenies!

And I imagine you have to send them an email first to arrange a date, as said before

Take the game, and run like crazy!!!!!!! Bring me my precioussssss... oops, medicine again

I was just wondering, since it seems people got to go on a tour just by showing up at the doors. I would like to get in, so e-mailing and getting a NO as an answer would kinda suck... Then again they'll never know I e-mailed them :borg:

/me throws pills

And, yeah, just show up... :p

Valve seems to be really nice about these tours they give. Seems like anyone who wants a tour can get one if they just phone ahead. So, someone who lives in the Seattle area needs to phone them for another tour right quick and take ALOT of pictures this time. (not a stab at you merc, but really, we need pictures) They obviously let merc take a photo of CS-Source, so I doesn't seem like they have a policy of restricting photography of their games (at least not the new CS game).

Maybe you could say you were from HL2.net, and take a video camera with you and do a mini-documentary on life in the Valve offices. At least take a tape recorder and try to do an interview and get some new info (again, not a stab at you merc, but really, we need info)

Hell, you may even get to be employed as a beta tester like merc did.

Just don't be like merc and not get any good info or not take pictures. Take a lot of photos, ask a lot of question, and look for bugs.

Your an ungratefull asshat mate.

He could have just gone in there for his own self, your lucky he showed us anything. Hes not a game interviewer, just some guy.

Look for bugs? Jesus Christ.

I concur

Lots... of pictures

Bloody hell, we'll have half the forum going at this rate.

That's actually not a bad idea Abom lol! Imagine Gabe's face when he sees thousands of rabid fanboys asking about the manipulator at the same time... he'll go something like this:

Poor guys, if I were you I'd let them get on with their jobs. :)

Don't ask. Just wait until they OPEN THE GATES and then RUN into the complex.

Yeh.

Less people visiting = less time to wait for HL2

Valve is good times. If you can, go ahead and shoot Gabe an email. If they don't want you there they just won't reply.

LOL n1 DeltaBlast :D I'm already inside waiting for it to leave! Get Sandra Bullock over here NOW ;)
