Now...I don't know if this is against the rules or not since it is kinda advertising this site, but if you want to help the people affected by the quake that hit southeast asia you can make donations here:

Network for good

Edit: I thought I might add a few more links, considering that site could easily get swamped. All of them are actually straight from the BBC website.
http://www.cafod.org.uk/
http://www.careinternational.org.uk/
http://www.ifrc.org/
http://www.msf.org/
http://www.oxfam.co.uk/
http://www.savethechildren.org.uk/
http://www.unicef.org/
http://www.wfp.org/
http://www.worldvision.org.uk/
http://irw.org/

They have many diffrent links to sites and organizations to which you can donate food, money, medical aid, etc...

So guys try and help!

Edit:Maybe one of the mods and admins could possibly put this on the front page to get more people to donate? Please.

thanks for letting us know about this site. was very good of you.
anything to help.

We've got www.giro555.nl but only for Dutchlanders :)

Thinking of donating, but only if it doesn't end up in the hands of some thug/corrupt leader.

Thanks alot, im gonna donate something now, and spread the word in my sig like you, good thinking man.

80% of charity never reaches its supposed destination.

Best way to help is go there.

Perhaps...though I don't really know how you keep track of all that charity. Not all of us however, have the money or the time to fly out there.

I'd donate. I mean, all this corruption you speak of is the same anywhere, but even if 80% doesnt reach atleast 20% will. So knowing that, one should donate accordingly. Instead of $100, knowing only $20 will get there, donate $1000, and you will feel satisfied knowing that $200 got there. I understand not all of us have that money, but one should donate as much as they can regardless. Just my point of view ;]

Hope you don't mind Tr0n, but I edited your post :)
Nope not one bit. :P Thanks for sticking this.

Edit: If you want guys try and post other sites to donate also.

I didn't say "don't give charity" I just warned that giving out money, etc. usually doesn't works as well as one might think. The 20% logic is good, but as I said, "the best way to help is go there".

I don't think a ticket is expensive, especially after a quake :p

As long as you donate to respectable charities (Red Cross is a good example) you can be pretty sure that the money you send will get where its intended.

dont show off how much you donated please. I find it wrong for people to do that. its not how much you give, it's why you give it and giving anything is for the right reasons... just because you give more, doesnt make you a better person and showing off about it is foolish.

Jesus teaches us all about that :)

its not how much you give per se

its how much you give, compared to what you have thats the important thing - one of the best bible lessons imo.

Man no way I would go to Iran. If the Iranians did not put me in prison, the Americans would on my return.

Australia gave 1 billion dollars in Tsunami aid. Thats a lot, considering our population of 20 million.
