Ok so I was reading that other thread and got thinking - If the crazy bastards trying to outlaw video games and movies and stuff actually won, and the internet got taken away, do you guys think there would be a North American revolution? A War? Or do you think people would sit back like fat-sheeto-filled-WoW-playing-slobs and take it?

I wouldn't take that, seriously. That's a very critical freedom taken away (to express yourself), I'd do something.. Not sure what, I'd probably follow another guy (like the leader of the 'resistance' (heh) who did know what he was doing and fight with him.

EDIT: Damn, should've put another option: Fight against it (like join the army and side with the government). If you vote this way, vote the second one.

I can live without free-speech internet, so I don't see why i'd risk my life to save it :/

I do suppose though that if a well organized militia of revolutionaries came to my door asking me to join the fight, I would do everything just short of actually FIGHTING to help win back the internet.

I can't see the average internet geek strapping 50lbs of dynamite to his chest and charging into the white house to defend his precious virtual watering hole, let alone begin to even fantasize about him possessing the physical strength to actually run with 50lbs of dynamite strapped to his frail torso.

A geek would be a pretty dangerous roadside bomb though, just one little piece of dynamite can blow him to smithereens, his bones fracturing into millions of deadly pieces of shrapnel.

Freespeech on the internets != a freedom. If somebody wants to privately own the internet, they can. They just need the means to purchase all the servers in the world.

Having free access to internet based games and movies isn't generally a right, so long as private corporations own the vast majority of the servers comprising the internet.

Unless you meant the Internet, Movies, and Video Games as individual items, in which case I will say your wording is very obscure...
