Warhammer40k: DOW PROBLEMS

Recently i just upgraded from a 9600 sapphire to a 9800 pro 128mg. I own DOW and could run it on the maxium resolution with the textures on high. I tried it out with the 9800 and for some funky reason it wants to run the game only with medium textures. For some odd reason the auto-configure seems to be over-riding the manual configuration. has any one run into these problems? anyone know a soultion... or where to find one!? lol any help would be much abliged.

hmmm, I don't think you will be able to run it all on high and have suitable speeds anyway. But I think its got soemthing to do with the mode you play the game in, don't some people have problems with dawn of war running in software mode by default?

When you play Skirmish or Online it sets everything to Medium by default so you don't end up lagging out. I assume that you are trying to play in these 2 modes and not Single Player?

Hmmm.... I set all my settings to full and its fine with me... but I do have an x800 xt pe.

thats the thing when i had the 9600 i could play the game with everything maxed out, wit the textures on high. it didnt matter if it was skirmish , single palyer.. whateva it worked fine. now that i got the 9800 pro it dosnt want to do it.
