When is FEAR going to be coming out? I thought it was supposed to be out last month but it never did, I checked their website and it said coming this fall.. no release date!

i hope they've learned Valve's lesson

What lesson? There's not much you can do about a delay, and the delay is, amazingly, usually there for a reason.

The reason HL2 was delayed was because of problems with leaked code etc. I think the fans all understood that and fair enough we all got alittle annoyed with the delays, there is nothing you can do about them and if you really like teh look of the game, then you will just wait for it, like we all did for hl2.

Well, I'm still keeping an open-mind. I personally thought Far Cry multiplayer sucked, the singleplayer was fun.

I participated in the Fear multiplayer beta, it was pretty fun, just ran crappy on my 9600XT at my prefered resolution (1024x768), so i had to play 640x480 for great framerate.

Well, yeah; makes the combat ridiculously cool. Seriously though, you can make anything sound stupid by describing that way. "What is supposed to be so great about this game? You put blocks together and then they dissapear? Then what the hell's the point of putting the blocks together then?!"

It's also meant to be scary, and scary games are fun.

1: Melee combat in this game is insane. Never seen anything like it before.
2: Particle effects. No other game has it in such detail and so many different and great effects used at once.
3: Combat system is suppose to make the game feel like a real time action movie. Im sry but name one game that did this before.

Plus all the other things we dont know about. Like the story, it sounds very interesting.

Even tho Hl2 did introduce new things.

Eh. I just watched some vids of the game. It actually looks alright. I mean I hope it is a very good game because we need some good shooters on the PC.

The main reasons why I'll be looking for FEAR is the story, the gameplay, and the editors that come with it.
