Watchmen Demo

and thats why i will never play that game

Hah, I watched the G4 Watchmen special and nearly everyone was all ecstatic about the game.

Dumbasses.

I refuse to even touch this trash.

There's really no point. The trailer says it all.

Seriously, did anyone think this was going to be good? They tried to make a fun game out of a deep and awesome graphic novel.

I suppose it's not THAT bad but yeah it's certainly not good at all.

It's not worth 20 bucks, and they attempted to make a "fun" beat-em-up game out of something deep like this, with a fanbase and clientelle made up of people who swell over things not fitting with canon.

Can't wait for the "bullshit" reviews.

Haha, it'd be worthless even if it had nothing to do with Watchmen, more so actually. A 3 hour game for $20? What a shallow piece of meritless merchandising.

I was under the impression it was the first episode of a series. If that's the case then surely other companies do this and are very successful at it,. Is this just receiving more hate because a beat em up is tied to Watchman who people believe is above this kind of thing?

Close this thread, it is a useless poop on our lawn.

It's like having a game out of Dante's Divine Comedy. Oh, wait...

EDIT: didn't read the post above ;)

Did anyone else find bashing thugs in the face with night sticks to be somewhat erotic?

That may be, doesn't stop it being a fun little game though.

Honestly, I don't think that's enough to justify what is evidently a cynical cash-in intended to coincide with the release of the movie.

It's enough for me if it's cheap (it is) and it's enjoyable (I think it is).
Everyone seems to think this shouldn't be allowed, but they change something major in the story for the film and everyone is okay with it. Whatever, I haven't seen it yet so I can't really comment, just seems your okay for something major story wise to change, yet are appalled with the thought of a ?12 spinoff beat-em-up.

Woah there Gonzales, back up -- don't make the sweeping generalisation that everyone is okay with such a major change; certainly that is far from the case. But that aside, you are addressing my comments in regard to the game, and seem to be assuming I'm okay with something you have probably never read my thoughts on in order to combat them.

It is a sweeping generalization I'll admit, but most of the comments I've read about it seem to be that it was a decent change albeit an unwarranted one. I guess some people (i.e. hardcore) fans are not.

Anyway, like I said, whatever, I find the game fun, have read the graphoc novel and will watch the film. Guess I have bigger things to care about other than whether a game isn't giving full due to the deep nature of a graphic novel .

I thought this game was fun , beating up inmates and throwing them around, I'll check it out.

Like playing FEAR 2 for the 5th/6th time since release a few weeks ago.

Yup! It's more fun than getting riled because someone said they enjoy the movie tie in beat-em-up. :D
