Water Pump

I have a new Swiftech 650 pump and just got it all hooked up, and was wondering if hearing a crackle kind of sound followed by a hiss but then regular function is bad....I only heard it a few times while air bubbles were in the system, and after bleeding them it went away....sounded real bad though

Alot of times it is just the air getting churned up inside and then the bubbles being pushed back out forcefully. Try recreating the sound by disconnecting the pump and getting air to flow into again, you know try dipping one of it's intake hoses into the sink (if you can).
If the noise went away then it *should be ok. If the noise continues then contact the manufacturer for a possible RMA.
