I saw Watership down in a double DVD set for ten bucks.
Should I get it?

I heard good things about it, I just want to make sure that er
it is worth it? I mean going back to the store to pick it up worth it. :P

Read the book. Book is way, way better.

That movie scarred me for life. Please never, ever watch it for your own sanity.

It's a very... surreal movie.
The animation is pretty retro, but it's an old movie.
If it's in a 2-pack for $10, you're not losing much.

It's an interesting movie, that I luckily never saw as a kid... but the graphic depictions of violence in it are pretty intense.

I have a copy lying around here somewhere. Definitely try to find it and see it.

Although the book is alot better like Mikael said. Shit do both.

I liked the movie a lot. It's the same production team that made The Plague Dogs.

Trust me, if you think Watership Down is graphic, The Plague Dogs is much worse. A lot sadder, too.

The plague dogs was the other film.
I'm so buying it.

Enjoy. They are both fantastic films. The Plague Dogs has some phenomenal animation. I hope the version you buy is the unedited film. The edited version has much less emotional impact.

Hopefully this is the version you are getting.

Yeah I got that one, but I saw the editted version.

but holy jesus, that really tore me to pieces, I was balling by the end of it :(
Watership was a nice story but a lot more violence. Big wig scared the shit out of me.

I kind of wish I'd seen the extended version of the Plague Dogs, rather than the edited version, even though I would have been bawwing more at the extended!!!
I've not seen Watership Down, but I think it's funny that John Hurt voices Hazel!!!!!

The only really bad thing about the edited version is that they altered the ending. In the original, there is no music until the credits, but the edited version makes it seem like there is hope that they
actually found an island

The book actually has a much different(and happier) ending.

Book was awesome. Film was awesome. My friend had it on video. Saw it again a couple of years back. Still awesome.
