We are living in a giant cosmic hologram

Second, the bible doesn't say the Earth is flat. There's a reference in Isaiah as well as a couple in the book of Job.
" He sits enthroned above the circle of the earth" Isaiah 40:22

You're living a lie

I get what you're saying previous to this post, but yeah a circle is two dimensional. If Job was all on about spheres and things you'd have a case

HANGED PEOPLE! The passive and past tense of hang (as in execution) is HANGED

"Am I the only one who gives a **** about the rules???"

No it didn't. You believe some people got hung? That's not a valid argument dude. Augustine and Aquinas, the two most important and influential theologians of the church believed that the earth was spherical, so you can't say the church ruled otherwise.

Are you aware of the part of the bible that says he went on a mountain top and saw all corners of the earth? I wont waste time looking it up, you can do this yourself, it is there. Actually screw it, 2 second google search:

Incase you are confused round objects don't have corners nor edges. So yes, the bible claims the earth is flat.

Wether or not people were hanged based on that theory I could be wrong, but I do know people got threatened with death for suggesting the earth wasn't the center of the universe.

This is true. Just a month ago I finished a course on Western civilisation 1400-1900, and we studied the Christian aspsect of society and government.

That's a completely different matter.

Everyone but perhaps the commoners knew about earth being a sphere. Some guy in Ancient Greece whose name I've forgotten even measured the diameter of the earth to a very exact degree.

How this myth arose I don't know, but it might have something to do with people wanting to corrupt history to make Columbus' achievement appear greater than it was.

You can't deny that at those times there was much debate in the christian church about the earth being flat. Maybe they didn't hang people for it (I stand corrected on that point) but there was debate. And that's not suprising since the bible clearly states the earth is flat.

Also the fool died believing he had discovered a route to Asia even though it obviously wasn't., so this Columbus worship and the false history surrounding him seems more like the apprehensive histrionics of a continent of people who have had a far less length of written and documented history than the ancient world they originally came from.

People knew the world was round, and unaware of the Scandinavian forays, they assumed that the America's were just more ocean. So basically a deluded fool just got lucky when he should have perished.

the bible clearly states the earth is flat.

The Bible also stated that Moses parted the Red Sea but I highly doubt it.

Just because some loons today take the Bible literally doesn't mean everyone did, otherwise Europe wouldn't have embraced ancient Greek and Roman knowledge as the height of knowledge (even though it mentions and has nothing to do with the Judeo-Christian god) until the Renaissance.

A speck of lint on the penis of an alien.

Buried in gelatin, beneath the sands of Venus.
