We Hate Modern Warfare 2

Eh, couldnt watch to the end. Could have been funny, but was very poorly executed. Had no sense of timing whatsoever, poor animation, and the sound was jarringly inconsistent. The pages of disclaimer made it seem like it would have been good. Disappointing because MW2 can be ripped on so well.

Is chocolate too dark for you?

i liked the game up until Bad Company 2 came out. both games are addicting in their own right, but for the most part it all boils down to if you like close environments are lots of open room to fight

I don't understand why anyone would hate Modern Warfare 2.

Can someone please explain?

-knife attacks that teleport you through bullets for an insta-kill move anywhere within 8 feett from an enemy
-if two people shoot 5ms apart from each other, the guy who shoots first wins; and the guy who shot 5ms later has his bullets disappear in mid-air
-boosters
-one man army, danger close, grenade launcher
-capping a flag at 95% complete, enemy spawns 6ft from you and kills you
-shotgun range
-grenade spam
-aim-assist on sniper rifles / the ability to quick scope
-thermal scope not making any sense, ie. it only detects people as 'hot'

I'm sure the list goes on, the game just doesn't make enough sense to me. I realized almost all my problems came down to the level size. If the levels were much larger then shotgun range wouldn't be an issue, knife attacks wouldn't be an issue, spawning wouldn't be an issue, random grenades wouldn't be an issue. But it would also slow gameplay down, and I guess it's more important to have super-fast-paced action than anything else.

The singleplayer campaign was fun.

That's right I said it.

I'm sure SP IS better with MW2.....but while you guys are staring at your KD and hoping for the next skill-less killstreak bonus, people will be playing a game with real skill :)

Ahem...I think you'll find at least one person did. Me, and MW2 was better. So there.

both campaigns are rubbish in my opinion, i'm just glad that BC2 didn't beat around the bush and market the game in that direction, it's as if they know that their story and campaign is half-arsed and not as fun as the multiplayer, whereas MW2 made a big song and dance about it and i found it trash.

Hmmm, I still thought as a single player experience it was okay, just not on par with MW2, though with BC2's continued Jibes at MW2 in it's single player game they obviously thought it measured up.

The video is about 100 things they hate about MW2. Maybe you should watch it since, you know, it's what this thread is about.

I really wished I had enjoyed MW2, and MW1 but it just didn't do it for me.

Video wasn't funny, seemed they were just throwing completely random things into the list to take up space.

The MW2 single player SHIT on the BC2 single player yes, but both games were mainly relying on their multiplayer aspect, which BC2 takes the crown for easily.

Which I would never object to, I only bought them for single player. I Just think it's a shame that when BC2 has such brilliant gunplay and kinetic feeling battles that you've experienced the best the single player has to offer by the time you finish the first real modern mission.

You are buying the wrong games for single player.

Seriously. Are you saying you payed $10 per hour for a single player MW2? That's MORE than a movie.

Pitz; I played through the single player while the servers were down and EA was having brunch or something. I liked the MW2 single player more, although BC2's was longer, barely. BC2 felt forced in a lot of ways, although the dialogue was fantastic.

However, BC2's multiplayer FAR beats MW2.

Seriously.

Not at all, I very much enjoyed Modern Warfare 2's single player, and after watching the trailers for BC2's single player and remembering the trailers for the original that never came to PC I was expecting a little more than what they gave. They advertised a single player campaign through trailers that I liked the look of, how is that buying the wrong game? Like I said, I still enjoyed it, it just wasn't as good as MW2's single player.

Not to mention they also took the route of the Russians invading the Us at the end of the game which everybody hated about MW2.

I never played the single player for BC2 but I played MW2 single player and thought it was god awful. Cod 5 single player blows it out of the water. Can't understand the love for it but I suppose you cannot float everyone's boat and by everyone's boat I mean mine. Maybe it was because I never played Cod 4. At least it did not have the grenade spam.

The Call of Duty series has historically had great single player. Even World at War's single player was pretty decent as far as single players go. I haven't really played MW2's single player but I don't understand how it could be as bad as everyone says. Multiplayer, I know, is nowhere near BFBC2... but Battlefield is a game born of multiplayer and it shows. That's why there have been so many clones over the years. That's also why conquest is so played out these days...

The plot is. The gameplay... well, it's a Call of Duty game. You've played one, you've played em all.

Multiplayer is where it's at. At least for another week or so, before they release that horribly overpriced map pack and I never touch the thing again. Oh well, gave it a good run.

I enjoy Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer immensely and will gladly line Kotick's pockets so he can buy more hookers and blow with the money I give him for those maps and lay off more good developers. There, I said it.

My only real complaint is that MW2's single player was SIX HOURS LONG.

This is not even an understatement. I finished it in about six and a half hours.

I think with the fast pace of the campaign it is more suitable to a short game. When it's a matter of saving the world you can' take too long!

It was ridiculously short to be fair haha.

Better than Bad Company 2's that's for sure. Yep, I've done it now.

Bad Company 2's Campaign is horrible

It is though

Ahem...I think you'll find at least one person did. Me, and MW2 was better. So there.

Nice effort, but it's too obvious. Troll better next time

6/10.

But seriously, I had immense fun with MW2, Multiplayer and Spec Ops.

There I said it.

I don't why people would be ashamed to state they like MW2, half the people on here hate it for no ****ing reason, just jumped on the bandwagon.

Multiplayer and Spec Ops.

I still don't understand why you can't do spec-ops with people who are't your friends. By the time I started trying to do the missions all my friends had completed them on, none of my real life friend's has a ps3 so I couldn't play with them. I tried to find people on forums but they were never on when I was on and I'm too proud to go out of my way to set-up a meeting time. So I think I have like 9 stars or something pathetic because those are the first set that I could do by myself.
