Last night Spike TV's Video Game Awards were announced. Sadly due to the much higher coverage and much larger fan base console games have, Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas scooped the Game of the Year award.[br]
[br]
However, not quite a consolation on missing Game of the Year, Half-Life 2 walked away with two awards that are very well deserved.[br]
[br]
In the Best Graphics cateogry, Half-Life 2 beat both Halo 2 and Doom 3 to the winning spot.[br]
[br]
More satsifying however is the fact that Half-Life 2 also beat Doom 3 and The Sims 2 to the Best PC Game award.[br]
[br]
Over the next few months there will be hundreds of publications declaring their Game of the Year, will Half-Life 2 get 50 like its predecessor?[br]
