I'd be well up for a HLDM tournament - I've been playing it lots recently to get back into fps shooters ( spent a load of time in JK2 ).

If anyone wants, I can organise one unless someone else would like to on behalf of halflife2.net ?

DeathMatch games are what makes FPS games I think, just look at CS; a game were you can eat your dinner, shower, sleep and go to the shops during play.

if you get a few guys to stay in a squad, and practise opening doors for eachother, tossing nades in a squad etc. it is thee most fun incredible experience, MP offers..

Brainless? lemme tell you teach you something: human beings use a fraction of their brain capacity, scientists and researchers estimate less than 10%. So when you're gaming you're probably using 1%.

Besides at least you get to play more often than you sit around waiting for some hick in Arizona to stop camping.

actaully according to research done recently video games open up parts of your brain that your normally wouldent exercise on normal situations or stressors, while this might not mean MORE of your brain is being used im sure its either the same or more then average relaxing and certainly a different kind of brain exercise

ya whatever, i think those stats are wrong or have been proven wrong already, but that has nothing to do with the style of gameplay. For people who dont have the attention span of a second, they play DM. contantly moving in circles shooting non stop, thinking your a UBER 733T. So much fun.

I assume you're a CS player then? Then I recommend you download and watch the CS Fan Videos from the link I posted in the first page, pretty amusing.

CS is mainly a matter of how much luck can you get in 30 minutes. And most people who play it suck ( I DID say MOST) as a person. always whining "omgz hs lolz". That said, I play cs, but I enjoy hldm more. Sometimes I'd rather havve a team game, though, and tfc's nades annoy the hell out of me. HLDM tests skill more than CS I think. or a different kind of skil altogether. CS just makes you memorize where to aim for each gun and you have to control recoil, and it practically makes the game a chore at times.

HLDM you get raw point and shoot fun. keyword is fun. I find it funny how most people who play CS hate the game and "only play because its the only thing my comp will run". I'm sure. anyway, enough ranting on a meaningless subject.

Ravenshield is teh leetest!! It pwnzors CS anyday!! It's all I've been playing for the past 4 months and each round never gets old. It's always intense when you know that it only takes one good shot to take you out. Also, the grenades are realistic, unlike CS, which has this sort of nuclear grenade thing going for it. In addition to the grenades, there are 57, soon to be sixty-something, weapons to choose from and customize.

IF and WHEN they decide to make and release counter-strike 2, I hope that they make it more realistic like RvS. It's be nice to have a massive choice of weapons to customize, plus there's the leaning and peeking around corners. CS as it is right now is fun if you are looking to just relax, but RvS is too intense to let your guard down for just one second. I'd like to see all the CS n00b135 cry when they find out that CS is super realistic and that they find that they die too easily. Hahahaha! n00b5!!!!
