SHADOWED FATES will be like nothing you have experienced in the realm of World War II action and adventure. Combined with the powerful Source engine, our innovative concepts will thrust you into an immersive environment that differs from many other games in the online FPS genre.

Many modern first person shooters have dynamic elements, such as the ability to use vehicles, command fellow players, and reach common objectives for victory with teammates. At face value they only add a new concept of gameplay that doesn't add much depth.

A New Hope.

Shadowed Fates offers not only some unique twists on FPS gameplay such as a Massively Multiplayer style inventory system (nearly all clothing and gear can be changed), and the ability to grow in rank, but it nearly creates an entire new genre of FPS gaming. While the classic "deathmatch", "conquest", "objective", and other single-map gameplay options will be available, SF's campaign mode is it's primary function, and most engrossing style of gameplay.

Highlights.

SF's campaign mode will provide all the elements of a cooperative, immersive, and large-scale conflict without the troubles of a massively multiplayer environment. Game servers will be able to set specific times for campaign battles- and battle lines will progress and retreat according to which side (Axis or Allies) wins each match. Historical campaigns will realistically convey the progression of Allied forces toward Berlin.

A Dynamic Approach.

SF's campaign maps will offer a unique progression of day/night battles. Invading and securing a town during one round may progress to the same landscape at a different time, where the invading team will switch to the defensive. Maps will progress like this until the ultimate objective is reached for both sides. In the case of Germany, this means repelling the invasion, and perhaps starting one of their own.

Pack it up, and Move it Out.

This isin't Counter-Strike. You don't recieve money for killing the enemy, or run and gun your way through a match. You get what you are issued, and the only way that changes is if your buddy next to you gets his head blown off, and you happen to pick up his weapon. Shadowed Fates will offer highly realistic soldier loadouts and classes that represent the true nature of infantry combat during World War II.

Cover is your Friend.

If you think you can charge a machine gun, or a squad of enemy infantry well dug in, you are mistaken. You will need to stick and move to defeat the enemy, using obstacles for cover and protection. But that doesn't mean superior firepower has no bearing- commanding your human and AI teammates in real time, and directing their fire and movement will determine the outcome of a battle. The team with superior cooperation, skill, and strategy will prevail.

Major Game Highlights:

Diverse Team Structure:

Players will fight side by side with fellow human players and AI alike. An intuitive AI command system will let ranking human and AI players give commands to those in their squad. Computer teammates will follow flanking commands, cover fire, retreat, and even improvised waypoints, among many other battle commands.

Item and Inventory System:

Shadowed Fates will offer an inventory system that will allow players to swap many items with fellow teammates, and items from fallen soldiers. Items have the capability of being damaged and broken. Each soldier will be able to hold two light primary weapons, and one sidearm. Grenades, medical kits, compasses, maps, and a wide array of other tools and weapons will be tradeable.

Intense and Unique Gameplay:

Unscripted battles in a highly destructible environment with hoardes of infantry will allow for a near-cinematic experience. Every moment of gameplay will challenge even the expert player, and force every soldier to innovate tactics. No two battles will be exactly the same.

Horrifying Realism:

Shadowed Fates will force you to fear battle. No longer will you be able to run and kill many players with super-precise mouse movements and jumping techniques. You will only be accurate when looking down the sights of your gun. You will fear enemy fire, because it will kill you easier than you think. You will bleed to death, break limbs from falls, have body parts amputated from blasts, lose your hearing and vision, and even be knocked unconcious. If you didn't think having a medic nearby was useful before in other games, your philosophy will certainly change.
