weapon replacing

hi i have decompiled a model of a glock from css. i have a blank qc and lots of smds. in the reference smd if i delete the gun that is there and just replace it with my gun and then compile it would i then have my gun working ingame or is it more complicated.
 
Should work fine. Make sure you assign the right bones to your gun.
 
hmm ok aprently i attach it to the parent bone or sumthing? duno but yeh ill try it n see what happens hope it dont fook css up lol
 
Try it this way:

Load up the reference.smd of the original weapon, import your weapon over the top of it, link your vertices to the parent bone, and delete the original glock model's vertices and crap.

it depends whether the decompiled model is correct or fooked up. in my case the decompiler decompiles the animation wrong. so the only way i can do it is if i make my own animations - this is the way for most people i have spoken to. just some special people dont seem to get this problem.
