I thought you have learned your lesson from Half Life 2, but obviously not.
 I think we shoulda also learnt something from HL2 (and HL1,DOD, and Team fortress 2)

haha remember TF2, it actually had a date set for the December of the year HL1 came out, If it is still in development it will give Duke Nukem Forever a run for it's money. That also is "still in development".

Maybe everyone should learn a little bit about game development! After reading a bit, look at the Lost Coast videos again. Now consider, a team of around 100 people, working on Day of Defeat: Source, Half-Life 2: Aftermath, The Lost Coast... If somebody says, "Oh, it'll be done soon," that's just them being optimistic.

You people = :x

Yay! I ranted. I feel my genitals growing! I'm a real man now! :D

Hopefully we'll see this sort of stuff (if not always against Valve) evolve into a regular occurence with a proper framework and schedule, even localised commentary if we start going the whole hog.

In other news, HL2: Lost Coast (the upcoming free Half-Life 2 map for Half-Life 2 owners which showcases HDR rendering technology) is nearing completion and will be released soon on Steam. We're going to include a bit of extra content with Lost Coast, which we haven't mentioned yet... watch this space for details.

Uninstall

With updates like this I'm seriously to the point of uninstalling Steam. You can write this off as me being a 'whiner', but that'd just make you an ignorant fanboy. It's one thing to release the garbage that they did, but to then use Steam as a popup marketing tool is just revolting.

What ever happened to the TF2 info that was promised "a few weeks after the HL2 release"? DOD:Source that is "Coming Soon" (10 months later, still no sign). I suppose random, single paragraph updates about porting lame, old CS maps is more important. Howabout more updates on how they just figured out HDR lighting and how they're working so hard to bring it to 25% of their customer base?

They then proceed to trump all of that garbage by posting an update about when they are going to be playing a(nother) match (oooh, that we can all waste our time spectating... feel special!) of a shit-ass vanilla CTF mod. Sorry. Don't care. Unsubscribe.

Soon Ati launches their new cards and what would be more convinient to launch Loast Coast then. Enough of the BS what are they waiting for do they really think they can release LC close to Ati's new cards and pretend the timing was something they didnt control.

Yeah right and they lie to all the interviews they have done then claiming "No external factors" for the delay i wonder what they are smoking.

Cant they just tell us the truth ? Its us customers afterall and they treat us like shit really no information nothing just facts that are dead wrong.
