Where is it? I thought it came on Sunday or Monday or something like that.

/sings Tomorrow tomorrow! I love ya! Tomorrow, you're only a day awayyyyyyy (and my Bday :) )

Only 9 hours till Wednesday :):):)

True, but it's actually gonna be about 24 hours until the weekly Steam update :)

They won't necessarily update any games. They're just keeping us informed with a status update each week because people moan that they don't speak to the community as much as they should.

How about make CS Source into a decent game?
Actually im not sure thats possible.

They need to add a few new elements..like a new..gernade type thing. I mean not a frag gernade but..u get what I mean..
Some new balanced weapons...
Give everyone $200 that has it.

Pfffttt they Need the Riot Shield back.

That wasn't broken and it should be with HL2's OMG UBER hitbox whatnot.

They need hitboxes that dont stay behind models when the move...it really ruins the game. and it needs HL2/DM physics. That would rule. CSS has pussy physics :)

They need hit boxes that operate from the model's physics mesh. It works most of the time for stopping ragdolls and other models clipping through walls, surely it'd work for bullet hit registration too.

I guess it'd take a massive hit to performance though.

When are they gonna add the Slam and the Stunstick to deathmatch?

At the same time they release the contest winner's Deathmatch maps.

As I understand it, the judging is now finished and the winners are being announced. Valve then need to acquire an affidavit so that the author of the winning maps gives all rights to Valve for distribution and future editing.

Once they have that they may need to optimise the maps and do further testing on them before they're released. Maybe next week or the week after.

I could be wrong, but most of that is an informed guess :)

I would of thought the ownership of the map would remain the authors and that the author would just give valve permission to distrobute it. otherwise a crummy visit to valve hq is a bit of a naff prize!

Im still waiting in anticipation for this... I havent heard anything yet, could be a bad sign :(

personally i dont like cs... because its the same thing over and over.... die, wait 5 minutes, same thing over.

TFC has grenades and rocket launchers and instant respawning. its much more fast paced

If they gave you time go over it if you won it would be a very good map, too many leaks and bad gameplay obstructors.

But the map looks teh sex.

speaking of the valve update, where is the valve update?! It's already ten past seven! :O

It's only 16:10 in Valveland

If it's gone back to what time we were normally updated on Steam happenings/updates etc. then it won't be for another 2 hours yet :p

from the contest rules on valve's site:

The final winners will be notified via email and overnight mail on or about February 28, 2005 and a list will simultaneously be posted at www.steampowered.com.

if the slam/stunstick update is going to coincide with the release of these maps according to the other news update, how could it happen before the date above? ...

I dont think we are wait on a software update or at least me. i think we are just waiting for a news update about something.
