Hi
I'm trying to play Half Life 2 using an Acer Aspire 2000 with a Mobility Radeon 9200. I get pretty decent FPS, but there seems to be some sort of problem with the graphics. I've tried playing the game at two different resolutions, 640x480 and 800x600 (since those are the only ones that give me good fps) but both display some problems. Sometimes there's this green pattern of squares (like a green chessboard) in the grass, in the tree's and in some of the textures . Some of the streets are sort of (like..) rainbow colored.. Some lights have a pattern made up fom stripes coming from them. There are also these white horizontal bars that appear from time to time.. I can make all of these problems go away temporarly by altering any of the video settings and making the graphics restart/reload.. But the problem always comes back after a while ..
I've tried downloading the latest drivers from acercomputer.se which is ATI Video driver v.6.14.10.6378 (as instructed concerning notebook drivers on ati.com). But I believe that's the same drivers I already was using (plus, the problems still remain).
What to do?
Could the fact tham I'm on a screen with a 16:9 ratio but using 4:3 in-game be the problem?
