I agreed with you Shippi and i will state it again, it is most probably a lake.

That picture looks like a lake with a central island to me.

Defenently a lake, as you can see the small or is it big island almost in the middle, the sand below the water is rising against that island so its a lake. Looks like the lake is on a mountain or something
