after waking up to realize it was sept 30th and that hl2 would not be comming out, i was also to find that our beloved hl2.net was down!!! thanks goodness its back, but alas..no benchmark...

Hah, hilarious. 30/9/03 is how non-americans do the dates, and in that case, it would be a palindrome, but in america, where valve is housed, it's 9/30/03, which isn't a palindrome, so we really don't care :cheers:

Anyone visited the ATi site today? They have a page with a vid window titled "Launch Event Feed". So far, however, its been whited out.

hmmm interesting indeed.... oh wait.... read planethalflife.com's news. HL2 is not comming out any earlier, the video cards are being packaged with vouchers for the game when it eventually gets released (probably november).
oh sorry for sounding offensive, that came out really wrong. just saying that if anyone here is getting any more false hope from this new bundle deal, don't bother.

The server went down cause they were sending hl2 via steam to halflife2.net

Here's a recap of the wonderful sept 30th on the east coast.
Bluesnews doesn't update until late in the afternoon.
No news on the benchmark anywhere.
FS has no new stories until late in the afternoon.
The entire morning and early afternoon has no news.
Then I post saying the day blows and all we need is this site to go down and bam, it's gone and so is Tribalwar.
You couldn't have scripted it any better.
