most of my internet time i spend on all kinds of forums (mainly hl2.net), but i've just recently noticed that my english has improved!
i've always been better at speaking than writing, but now it seems the other way around!
anyone else (non-english) noticed this!?

and my mother always complains that i spend too much time on the internet!

To be perfectly honest, the majority of people on this forum who's native language isn't English, you all seem to speak it so well I honestly wouldn't know you weren't from an English-speaking country.

It seems us Brits (or indeed any English-speaking country) have been critisised for being lazy buggers and not learning any other languages. I suppose this is true as if I tried to go into a French or German forum, people quite honestly would think it's a joke, from my 5 years of "learning" "french".

I would like to learn a language some day, and I really would be interested if learning a language was a simple as putting a computer chip in me noggin'
