Well it seems like that ASUS dual 6800U card that everyone has been going hog wild over lately is real after all. This was taken from HardOCP.com [H]ardNews 11th Edition...

More ASUS 6800U Dual:
These pictures were sent in via an anonymous GMail account with the text, "From CeBIT." Obviously these are pictures of the ASUS dual 6800U card we posted earlier this week. This should clear up the issues with the "Its a Photoshop nay-sayers." Now you just have to wonder if you can put TWO of them on one SLI board?

I assume these were taken in the back room at the ASUS booth, but if you have any more information from Germany, please pass it along.
Here are the pictures they're talking about:

I'm sure a mini-blowtorch and mallet could make a graphics card (or two) fit in any configuration... :)

That is one honking piece of machinery. Looks like it will have some good features though. Too bad that = $$. Cant imagine the power of a rig with a good cpu, plenty of fast ram, and two of the ~best graphics cards out.

Question is will it work after you get done?

Anyways that card is a huge son of a bitch!I bet the SFF people are going to feel left out.

I'd like to see the heatsink on it............its good its got a strong slot mounting otherwise asus board would go snap.

not exactly the most compact unit ever.

they prolly have a heatsink covering the entire front of the board :p

Wow that looks like it's really going to have some problems, and I can imagine the size of the heatsink they'll need for it.

I don't think it will be as bad as everyone...well...thinks.It might not need such a huge heatsink. We will just have to wait and see.

holy f*ck, that looks like it'll just barely fit in my big-ass case, i hope they shrink it a little

I'm pretty sure that you can't run two dual GPU cards at once. Something about one of them already running an SLI config, which would require a DUAL SLI mobo to run two. Now that = quad digits just for the mobo and the Vid card :(

Anyway, I bet they'll put some sort of mini chiller on that thing, or maybe its on a quick release rail, and you have to put it in the freezer every hour

But just imagine if you could...4 6800 ultra gpu's is insane. The power requirements, the cooling requirements along with the unimaginably high price tag make it totally unrealistic..but a man can dream...a man can dream...

hmmm, if two 6800's cost around $1000, then you're spending $2k for your video cards and mobo alone!

I want them :(

Well I was right about the heatsink thing...it isn't so bad after all.

You'll have seen the first of the two boards in this picture all over the web recently. It looks like it's only going to be a limited run product for the well-healed only. I've got a strong indication that it's going to limited to 4000 pieces world-wide. With two NV45s on a single PCB, two PCI Express power connectors and a massive cooler, I'm struggling to see what chassis it's going to reliably fit in without serious retention. It will also be bundled with a specific ASUS mainboard, the PEG lane distribution requiring that.

The board underneath is ASUS's dual 6600 GT board. They're claiming output across four displays, which hints at supporting two in a system. I'm fairly sure that'll require a specific ASUS mainboard too.

More on both if I can get a quick chat with ASUS about the pair.
Taken from Hexus.net.

I've always said that Nvidia make cards that use Bruteforce to establish speed and ATI use finesse to match Nvidia, But this is taking Bruteforce to a whole different level, That thing is frigging monstrous.
I thought my Lian Li was wide, but you'd need a real wide case to get that thing to fit, it would press itself against my cases side window and probably touch my hard drive too.
Just mad, totally frigging mad!

Isn't so bad? that's a 2-tier alloy monster with a 120mm fan slapped in the middle of it ... it's bigger than I expected, and I was expecting big...

Holy sh*t, that thing is big! :O
It's almost like that Bitchin'fast!3D card. :)

That's just ridiculous, four GPUs? I just build a new rig (take a look below) and if you need anything better than that (besides switching to AMD, if you prefer, or adding a sound card), then... I wouldn't know what to say to you. I guess that must mean you are quite rich and really don't care...

I'm pretty sure you can't put two dual-gpu SLi boards in one system... the PCI-Express bus is halved to share between two PCI-Express slots, it would be halved again to go to each GPU and that would slow the whole thing down to the same level as running 2 cores.
