Right now I'm using Norton's Antivirus and Norton's Firewall (not the security pack, only firewall!)
So, any suggestions? :)

Is ZoneAlarm better then Norton's Firewall? I kinda like my current firewall.. I just hate the antivirus.. :\

Whats the general concensus on Bitdefender here?

NOD32<-what i use
PC-cillin

ZoneAlarm
Hardware firewall<-what i use

Firewalls:

Word is that Norton isn't all that great.

Zonealarm gave me blue screens when I used to use it. The new version is meant to cause problems with Bittorrent. Otherwise, it was okay...but BSOD's that stopped me connecting to the net, and made me have to format were not a problem I could ignore.

Sygate is meant to be pretty good but for some reason I couldnever get it to work.

The firewall I'm using now, and I'm pretty impressed by, is Agnitum Outpost . It seems rock solid, easy to configure, and it's free,no problems so far.

For anti-spy/anti-virus I use Microsoft Antispyware and AVG, but I also rely heavily my own voodoo anti-spy tactics.

I use avg free for viruses and zonealarm (I hate it, but since it's not my computer I'm not allowed to uninstall it) for firewall

I use trend micro for AV. I use to have Zonealarm as a software firewall, but it was by far the most buggy piece of software I owned, so I got rid of it and have the trend micro firewall.

You should have 2 types of firewalls. A hardware firewall (router) that stops basic hacker/malicious attempts and a software firewall that does program control (stops trojans you put on your computer, etc).

i decided to try this sygate, i usually just use the windows xp 1, i keep my comp in good nick anyway, spyware/virus checks, defrags, cleanups etc.
God bless tuneup utilities.

why do people say AVG, some of my mates ahve it and it seems lieka piece of shit from what they describe

Frequent Updates
eMail Scanning
Real-Time File Scanning

It dose everything Norton or Mcafee dose, but for free.

Well.. I got NOD32 now and I think I'll stick with it for now :p
As for the firewall, I might try Sygate..
Anyway thank u all :)

sygate i tried but it made windows initial load alot longer, it usually took a sec, now it takes about 10.
