I want to know what are the different versions of the e3 2004 video.

first of course is the gamespy video, widely available.

then someone mentioned a gamespot version which was supposedly better quality. is there any place to get it apart from gamespot? do you need a ocmplete membership to get it?

then there is an ign version i hear. any info about that.

doug said in the valve thread taht theyll be releasing the binks soon. i hope that means all the binks and they dont take the whole year doing that.

EDIT: what are these? which versions are these?

There is also a short teaser trailer that was released before E3 2004. Its a 1:19 seconds long.

It's really good actually, good music in it. Can't remember where I got it from though.

I DLed the trailer off the link in the first post, to my surprise, it's GameSpot's version

I hope the other two portions of the trailer are the gamespot versions.. if so, yay :) I've always wanted to see them, supposedely the quality is above and beyond GameSpy's

awww man... why couldnt people have pointed this out before!!

aww well.... getting download now!

Erm, does anyone have any better links for the gamespot videos?

They dont work for me! :(

OMFG!!! 10x dude!!!! :E
BTW, if u want the download 2 start then u need 2 download their crappy program "Secure Delivery" :|

The secure delivery isn't working for me. It's been saying "Locating closest server..." for like the last 15 min. Can someone mirror the downloads or something?

Do you know when the bink versions of these videos will be out soon?

These are indeed the gamespot videos, and, I was able to download them without the secure delivery program

All I do is click on the link, about 6 minutes later it goes through and DLs at 180kb/sec

I did the same thing but it's just like it's frozen, and won't start at all.

Wow, the Gamespot ones are a lot better than the Gamespy one, also less saturated colors and much better sound. I thought it would look less at higher resolutions, but the game looks even better now!

Odd, I've only DLed part 1 of the presentation, but the second one is on its way

LOL! only 180kb/sec?! I've downloaded the first HL2 Demo at 600+kb/sec with their 'Secure Delivery'! :naughty:
the second one, right now, is downloading at 80kb/sec :dozey:

EDIT: 145kb/sec right now!!! :)
EDIT2 : 600+kb/sec!!! happy again!!! :E

180kb/sec is decent considering I didn't have to further fill up my system with useless activex crap :)

I'll delete it later, I did that before but the download was slow so I'm keeping this 'Secure Delivery' for awhile :p

Don't forget the speeds are in kilobit (kb), not kilobyte (KB).. so yeah I've got 700 kb/s but it's 87,5 KB/s.... but it's not too bad.

Did you know that Megabit in broadband topics and such is originally Mibibit.. People just speak of it as Megabit since it's way easier to say.

If u say so...

BTW, GameSpot's vids aren't THAT high quality... only their sound is good, the pic quality in some parts of the vids just sux :| (when Gordon is walking in the stairway at the second demo)

1200Kb/sec Part 1...trying the direct link for the 2nd part.

The 702mb Gamyspy Video Has The Best Quality This Gamespot Video Is Shit

The IGN videos still look better (IMO) than the GameSpy/Spot videos

someone host these please.
this secure download thing sucks.

Where is the best place to get the FULL download of the E3 2004 Halflife 2 demo.

THE ONE THAT is of BETTER quality than Gamespy and does not require a full subscription?

If someone can answer this then good for you. No debate over what -vid- is better just tell me where it is please.

The gamespy one is 725,332 meg unzipped quicktime, it's not great quality but I am not wasting time Dl'in something that's marginaly better.

If it's not 2Mbps i'ts not fast. ;)

I will also wait for binks. Binks own.
I still remember the first time I discovered bink, it owned then too.

can someone host the IGN ones

and i noticed the gamesopt ones from download.com dont have the cs source video
