Lately I've been watching:

Flash Forward - Series based on a book where everyone on Earth saw the future for about two minutes
Stargate Universe - new replacement for the Stargate Atlantis series
Curb Your Enthusiasm - HBO comedy featuring the writer of Seinfeld, as himself.
Important Things With Demetri Martin - Stand Up Comedian gets his own show.
I had been watching Mad Men, but I'm taking a break from it.

I thought it wold be a good idea to see what everyone is watching. Anything good?

Dexter, of course. Can't wait for Breaking Bad to start up again. Other than that, the only thing I've been keeping up with much lately is It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia which is absolutely hilarious. I'll be watching Weeds when the new season starts but frankly I'm dangerously close to the precipice of not giving a **** about that show anymore...

I saw a few episodes of Dexter and liked it, but I just won't allow myself to watch it unless I start from the very beginning. Same thing with Breaking Bad and Weeds. I guess that goes for any series.

Don't bother with Weeds. Dexter is great, and all of the seasons before this one are pretty great, so I'd definitely recommend starting from the beginning. Same with Breaking Bad, albeit the latter only has two painfully short seasons to watch. I would definitely say to make it a priority before the new season begins.

I thought you loved Weeds. I guess it really took a dive. Anyway, I don't want any spoilers, I've only watched all of season 1.

Only thing i've been watching is house season 6. I just finished six feet under and I'll wait for 24 season 8

Weeds is good, but to say it's taken a nosedive in terms of entertainment value over the past few seasons is an understatement. Dexter on the other hand only seems to get better.

Dexter, House, Stargate Universe (out of boredom, I still think it sucks), and just started watching V

Nothing. D:

Actually, I watched the first episode of The Wire Season 2 the other night. I was taking a break from an essay crisis, and just...it was really nice to be back in that world. I realised that somehow, incredibly, impossibly, The Wire - of all things! - has become comfort viewing for me. Sure, it's comfort viewing that requires constant attention and constructive intelligence to follow. But that's a kind of challenge I can handle and that I sink into gratefully like a man into a hot bath after a long day. Oh, McNulty. I'm glad to see you again.

Sons of Anarchy - Everyone should watch this. Seriously.
Dexter- Like everyone else
Supernatural - It's cool. Liked the early seasons best.
Dollhouse - when I got the time.
True Blood - Only vampire show that don't make me want to claw my eyes out.

All good shows, for different reasons.

Sons of Anarchy and Dexter pretty religiously.
House, NCIS, The Big Bang Theory, Dollhouse, and The Office when I remember.

And I'm in the middle of a Lost marathon because I want to catch up on all 5 seasons before the 6th airs.

The Long Way Round

Weird seeing the real side of Ewan McGregor.

Just a great documentary about riding, basically, across the world in as straight of a line as possible.

Really getting into it.

Farscape, Star Trek Deep Space 9, Enterprise, V, That 70s Show, NCIS, and that's it.

On a bit of a sci-fi binge.

Agatha Christie's Poirot - going back and revisiting it all with the aid of Youtube. Ze Poirot of David Suchet, natch.
The Thick of It - Series 3 is running now and it's hilarious. I wasn't sure if I'd still like it in the absence of Langham, but it's great.

absolutely fabulous

(I would totally do jennifer saunders, even at 50)

Babylon 5, Farscape, V, The Office, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, V, and Dexter...think that's it.

Watched the first 3 seasons of Dexter, haven't watched much of 4.

That was it.

Stargate universe. I hardly ever watch tv. Never anything worth watching.

Ed, Edd, n' Eddy marathon. Then I'm watching the Big Picture Show a second time.

Dexter, V, Flashforward, Babylon 5, Dollhouse for now.

I'll be watching Weeds when the new season starts but frankly I'm dangerously close to the precipice of not giving a **** about that show anymore...

I stopped watching it halfway through Season 5. It's really bad. Don't bother.

You should watch it until the end Season 3.

Merlin (it's actually boring)
Doctor Who

Others show I watch are:

Cold Case (I can't say I like new episodes)
Two and a Half Men
Aliens in America

Freaks and Geeks. And I ****ing love it.

Also have Rome ready to watch, I'll probably do that once I'm done with F&G

Just getting into House at the moment, watching Series 1 - 4 on DVD.
Doctor Who marathon in preparation for 10's finale in December.

Nothing much else at the moment to be honest...

Don't forget next Sundays "Waters Of Mars" or whatever the hell it's called.

Nothing. I plan to watch Lost whenever it starts up again, although the plot line has become so ridiculous and convoluted that I'm almost embarrassed to watch it. But there's only one season left (I think?) so I might as well finish watching.

Occasionally I watch old Buffy the Vampire Slayer episodes. Or Early Edition because my family used to watch that when I was a kid (although rewatching it now, it's not that good... really cheesy and kind of silly premise).

Didn't Buffy have some kind of spin off or something? I think I remember seeing the co-star on some other show. What was her name...

dfc, you need to find something you like! You haven't liked anything since 2005. I feel bad for you.

I'll try to recommend something if you name your all time favorite TV shows.

Haha, that's very true. I haven't even liked any videogames (apart from maybe Portal) or movies in a long time. There's been "pretty good" stuff but nothing to go on a favorites list or anything.

I doubt recommendations would work since I don't have cable so my choices are limited, and I'm pretty much the most un-enthusiastic person around (which has become something of a recurring joke among my friends and family). But my all time favorite shows list consists of just Buffy :p -- so something that sits on the cheesy drama-comedy fence. That may partly just be nostalgia though. I generally enjoy The Big Bang Theory when it's on, but I don't deliberately set aside time to watch it. I didn't even know what time it airs until I looked it up just now.

As for Buffy spin-offs, there was Angel (which I never particularly liked -- didn't even watch halfway through the 1st season), which had David Boreanaz and Charisma Carpenter and probably a couple of other side Buffy characters later on.

Dexter, of course. Can't wait for Breaking Bad to start up again.

WTF breaking bad is back? I thought it was canceled?

Anyways, im watching thus:

Flashforward, The Fringe, The Office, The Daily Show, The Colbert Report, Its Always Sunny in Philadelphia, V, Dollhouse, Castle, and soon I'll be watching Breaking Bad apparently.

EDIT: Oh, I guess I should also say Firefly. I rewatch the entire season pretty much every month is seems :| Can't get myself to stop doing that.

Cancelled? That's blasphemy! Where did you hear that?

I couldn't imagine a show like that getting canceled, especially after the season 2 finale. Holy shit. It still blows my mind.

But anyways, it's coming back in March 2010 I believe. Can't wait.

Other shows:
The Office
Lost
24
House (sometimes)
The Daily Show (sometimes)
Colbert Report (sometimes)
Tim and Eric Awesome Show (sometimes)

Internet TV:
Diggnation
CO-OP
Tekzilla

Dead to me:
Heroes (stopped less than half way through Season 3)

The Unit Season 4 (its like 24, Call of Duty, and Desperate housewives all rolled into one)
V (cool so far)
Flash Forward (cool)
Fringe (addicted to this show)
Rome (finished season 1 gunna start season 2 once i finish the Unit)
The X-Files (almost done with Season 1)
The Office Season 5 (streaming them on netflix, season isn't as good as the previous ones)

and I want to watch more of Californication Season 3 but i don't have that channel so I'll just have to wait till its either back on Netflix streaming or I'll rent them next year when it comes out on DVD

The Office
Modern Family
Curb Your Enthusiasm
Dexter
Fringe
Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations

I may start watching V too. Pilot wasn't too shabby.

Freaks and Geeks. And I ****ing love it.

Freaks and Geeks is amazing. You should check out series Undeclared... also only lasted for a season, but has a lot of the same cast/crew and basically be described thus: F&G:high school in the 80s :: Undeclared:college in the 00s. All your favorite Judd Apatow-related people are there.

Rome is ****ing incredible too, I wish there was more than 2 seasons...

Breaking Bad got cut short halfway thru the first season due to the writer's strike a couple years ago, but it came back and the second season went off without a hitch (on the contrary it was some of the best writing I've seen for TV in this decade). Season 3 is definite.

My roommates and I watch Firefly all the time, it just doesn't get old.

Also trying to get my friend to watch red dwarf but he's a stupid asshole and doesn't like anything new.
