If your applying for a job that you really want, what do you do on your resume to make sure you get noticed? Do you add a picture? or do you make your resume really detailed? Just curious on what you do to make sure you at least get to the interview?

Keep it simple. I read résumés all the time (won't do an interview without one) and you want your main points to be readable at a glance (long periods of work history, relevant job experience), but put those in bullet points that the reader can gather at a glance. When (and if) he or she gets the time to read it in more detail, they'll pick up on whatever else you have in there. If I get a résumé that's a 3-ring binder of certificates and awards, I still only peruse the front page unless something there makes me thing there'll be a zinger in the bundle. I keep my résumé to a single sheet.

I have found that an eye catching cover made of human skin helps get me noticed.

I don't know what they do in Alabama, but that won't work here :p

Just make sure you only put relevant facts on the resume. Tailor the resume to the job. Don't put how you were chess club president if you wanna be a TV producer.
