Time to do some research. What brand of beer do you guys prefer?

I prefer the following:
- Amstel (I always drink it when I'm on holiday in greece)
- Mythos (greek beer)
- Tuborg (danish beer)
- Carlsberg (danish beer)
- CB (the norwegian beer from my town called Kristiansand)

Don't get the impression that I'm an alchoholic :naughty: I just enjoy beer in the weekends and on vacation. *drools*

I'm just tired of the political threads :E

Amen to that.

I'd have to go with newcastle.

I haven't tasted that in years. Thanks for reminding me :) The weekend is just around the corner

Newcastle...That just makes me think of geordies :O

I don't like beer at all, but if I had to choose something it would be Guinness

Stella Artois or if im feeling cheap, Carling.
I like Grolsh too :)
Guinness... yuk, cant stand the skuff. disgusting.
/me pukes

Stella...:x Contrary to popular belief, it is not the solution as well as cause of many of lifes problems...it is simply the cause. Honestly, I'm not entirly sure what it is but when people are drinking stella they seem to get a whole lot more violent.

Kilkenny, Jever, Brinkhoffs... :D all the best.

Prepare to die, if you drink Beck's!!!11one

I usually just buy whatever microbrew is on sale at the liquor store. They're mostly Colorado beers.

Some favorites:

Sierra Nevada Pale Ale
Single Track Copper Ale
Fat Tire
Flying Dog
Eumundi (Australian)

.....and of course Guinness

What's up with the superblack beers you english people drink :P I bought a box of Guiness and a box of Beamish once. That's probably the worst thing I've ever tasted. I guess you'll have to get used to it.

i'll drink anything :D

although i'm quite partial to a pint of strongbow nowadays.

stellar is the ultimate northerner football fan drink. its s crap. carling is for cheap skates who just wanna get pissed coz they think theyre cool. carlsberg is THE best beer, and strongbow is the best cider imo.

tiger is actually nice aswell (asia). so is east africa's 'mosi'.

heineken
becks
El aguila (spain)
Red stripe (jamiacan)

Or am I a sissy because I don't need to alter my thought processes for social or personal gain?

My absolute favourite are the bavarian wiessbiers (wheat beers) such as Murnauer or Hoegaarden. As for English beers I'd have to with a fairly pale brew, Pedigree being my favourite. While in America I aquired a taste for several ales such as Firestone, Pyramid & Sierra Nevada's IPA.

But on a hot summers day there's nothing better than an ice cold lager. In my opinion Czech largers are by far the best. They're becoing more available these days with many bars serving Budweiser & Staropramen. My favourite however is the Velkopopovicky Kozel (had to fetch a bottle to check the spelling on that one!)

oh yeah cant disagree with heineken either. and carlsberg export....mmmm

I also enjoy Czech lager. It isn't very easy to find, and it's quite expensive, but the Czech Budweiser is a winner.

Well, Guinness isn't exactly English. I sometimes say Guinness is like the coffee of beers....Its an aquired taste :) But like I said, I don't like beer anyway, and only chose Guinness because its marginally better than the rest.

i dont get violent when im drunk so im fine with it :) Infact, i just get incredibly chatty and nice

in no particular order

Guinness
Sam Adams
Sam Adams Cream Stout(better than Guinness i think)
Killians
Blue Moon
Strong(polish beer)
Warka(also polish)
Tyskie(polish again)
Okocim(you guessed it, polish)
the german weissbeers are good as well... but i think nothing beats those polish beers...especially strong... my fav.

i also had this weird ass... but good... polish beer in a little bar in Krakow. it was a dark beer, meaning it tasted like liquid bread with molasses... odd...

I envy you guys across the pond with all your fancy beers. Heineken and Lebatts are my preferred at the moment but I'll drink (almost) anything. I don't like pale or dark, middle of the road for me.

Good stuff :D I have to say I only know one person who drinks stella, but she can handle her beer. Oh, and no she isn't a "beefcake" type of person, she is in fact rather attractive.

But, the general stella drinkers seem pretty nasty...

As for me when I drink...well, I just talk a lot more and get funnier....apart from last night when I wandered off :(

That's why it has the nickname "Wife-beater", though it doesn't seem to affect me like that at all....alot of my mates won't drink it though 'cos it sends 'em a bit loopy.

My Top three.....

1. Duvel
2. Hoegaarden
3. Heineken

l0l Griz dutchbeers :D:P

Well my top2:

Hertog Jan

Heh heh, can't beat 'em. :P

Comes from spending too much time in a pub called Wildermanns when visiting my mates in Amsterdam. ;)

im under the age so i dont drink....... but id have to say amstel. Not that i drink or anything just a choice.

Sofiero(Swedish) 2nd in Beer World Cup 2004....really nice and cheap beer...but i drink any beer...

I love wheat beer, like Cheval Blanc or some red beers, like the
Griffon Rousse
U2
Boréal Cuivrée
and a few beers made by Unibroue. I'm pretty sure no one here heard about these beers, because they are not exported from Quebec. I also love the Sleeman Honeybrown, which is a canadian beer.

Althought I don't like cheap beers like Budweiser, Coors Light or Molson, I never refuse a beer when I'm offered one.

Wow. I actually got a few replies. Never expected that. It's interesting to see what brands you forumers prefer.

Cya around the forum :E

Nothin like a quality micro-brewed hefeweizen!
