I have little to do at the moment so I'm spending more time than before watching telly. Besides the obvious Southpark, Family Guy, Futurama, the Simpsons I watch:
The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy
Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends
Fairly Odd Parents
Sponge Bob Square Pants

And sometimes Sonic X 9(Though mainly for nastalgic purposes (I'm f*cking 16 :p)) and Code Lyoko (Could there be worse dubbing?)

What do you watch (I suppose anime counts too)

Only the Simpsons, Futurama and Family Guy. I thought I was too old for cartoons. Obviously not. :p

Family Guy
Invader Zim
King of the Hill

That's all really... I can't stand anime. >.>

Family Guy and American Dad (which actually gets quite funny mid-way to the end of the season)

Family Guy and American Dad (which I hated at first); The Simpsons; the occasional random kids TV show, although not very often.

If we count anime I'll say GITS:SAC and Bebop as well.

South Park
I'm very tempted to get the Starship Troopers Roughnecks boxset :|

Fullmetal Alchemist reruns.

Don't watch TV much though.

I don't watch anything regularly.

I'm more into japanese anime when it comes to cartoons. Watching Eureka 7 for the moment.

Judas!

Fullmetal Alchemist is like the only anime that doesn't suck, imo.

and I like the universe setting of it. CRUSH TEH EVIL DISSENTERS WITH MILITARY MIGHT! MACHINE GUNS VS MAGIC FTMFW1111!

Y'know, you'd probably like Last Exile and Ghost in the Shell. I mean, you're all for secret police, aren't you? :p

Well, do they wear trenchcoats? :p

I love those Guns VS Magic (when guns win) type cartoons and movies and comics.

Last Exile has trenchcoats. It's a bit steampunky. Huge airships firing cannons at each other and so forth.

GITS, meanwhile...they generally don't wear trenchcoats, but they do hilariously abuse justice slightly (like borrowing a satellite from the CIA to listen in to absolutely everything on the internet) and FIGHT CRIME WITH GUNS!

Lol. Last Exile sounds good to me.

GITS sounds good too. :p

I saw one episode of that, it seemed pretty neat. If I'd show anything to my children it would be that show. :D

Harvey Birdman, ATHF, Sealab, South Park, and The Venture Brothers.

Yes, but unlike japanese cartoons, american cartoons run at a tolerable framerate and actually make sense.

Anything on Adult Swim. Like Family Guy, Futurama, and Aqua Teen. Plus all the ones which I dont know the names off, but are still hilarious. I also watch South Park and Simpsons.

I just realized that I only watch cartoons on tv.

Seriously, I can just sit and watch Trap Door, Button Moon and The Clangers aaaaaallll day long.

Not The Herb Garden though. I hate the Herb Garden.

Spongebob Squarepants
Martin Mystery (I don't know why I like this show...)
Family Guy
Simpsons
South Park
Invader Zim

And a bunch of others I can't remember...

Oh ya, this is anime, but it was made in Quebec...

I hardly ever watch cartoons but when I do I watch Sponge Bob Square Pants. That is the only cartoon I watch.

Not owning a television, my cartoon experiences are rentals from the video store and they are primarily japanese animation. We just rented "Howl's Moving Castle" (very much like 'Spirited Away') and that was fairly entertaining. We also rented "Wallace & Gromit: The Curse of the Were-Rabbit" and that was damn funny.

My first show obsession. Although visually it hasn't aged too well.

Also:
Spongebob
Invader Zim

I love you. It's bonkin' time! :D

I just watched the Colonel's Lieutenant shoot down some evil dissidents with a carbine.

You have to love Fullmetal Alchemist.

I've seen that shot (Japanese) on various posts, what is it?
This image display the average cartoon design for USA and Japan, meaning, USA may draw in more frame rates, but their cartoon designs suck.

Also, some people (including me) don't give a rat's ass wether it's a crappy frame rate or not.

I'd forgot about Invader Zim, funny, wierd show.

Well with overdetail you get things like extremely slow smoke, and of course the classic syndrome of japanese cartoons having two frames for the mouth, and then repeating the same two frames over and over for the person talking. They will also simply draw an action scene and then pan over it like a still photograph.

Still, you have your good and bad cartoons for every animation style. Disney animation is particularly good looking, and a good hybrid between anime drawing styles and american animations is that show...um...Xiaolin Showdown.

plus I like that show simply because it is somewhat funny at times.

In essence its basically a trade off between high quality still frames or lower quality animation with more action and a faster framerate, and its really more of a preference. Personally I like more animated, faster moving cartoons because they feel more alive.

I can't really decide which is worse, the simplistic character drawings of the USA one, or the freakish bug eyes of the Japan one.
