What do the Combines have in their army?

What do the Combines have in their army?

Do they have any M1-A2 type tanks or even other Heavy armor tanks? (Like the Mammoth tank from C&C)

Any sea or space navy?

Is the “Overwatch” and the axillaries AKA Civil potation are the mean latest Combine force? (The axillaries being the original Humans or other binges severing the Combine with out being assimilated…)


Do the Combine have a manger use of axillaries?

Are the Combine cloning men for troops?

What well happen when the Combine Empire falls, wuld the worlds the Combine ruled would be in for grabs?
 
1. They have what ever is in the game... APCs, Gunships, Razor Trains(pobably to ram you...), Choppers and stuff like that... I doubt there are any tanks, you would probably have faced them in the game if there were any... except for those motar synths stalkers and crab synths. Itll be cool to see dog jump on a tank and bend the turret and swing the tanks a round though...

2. I am aware of a human group with the combine but whether they were cloned??? I'll go check it out.

3. Who would grab those worlds? Xen? Zen(half-life redemption)? Earth rules all? Or what... Race-x aliens?(possible theory about the race-X)
 
There was another APC varient in the destroyed tunnel during Anticitizen One or Follow Freeman, I forget which. Just before the tunnel of waste and zombies.
 
I doubt that's all the combine has. There's no way the overwatch has the highest level of equiptment/soldiers. I mean, could those things have toppled earth is 7 hours or at all??

Realistically, the combine would have INCREDIBLE armies if they can make the earth surrender in 7 hours.

...but then again, I always figured the "7 hour war" was just Valve's writer having fun with ideas. For all the Combine's supposed power, they still dont have a clue as how to stop one man from eventually ridding the entire Earth of them, which is naturally destined to happen.
 
All the stuff on you see in HL2 is Combines adaptations of our technology. Including the Soldiers. The Combine have synths, self replicating robots and also have countless races they've absorbed over the years.

I think dog's power is highly over rated. Dog could destroy a tank if it caught it by surprise and managed to bend the turret's barrel, but at a distance dog would be blown to bits by a tank AA shell.

I would certainly love that outcome, but it's highly unlikely after the beating Earth took.

Yeah, I think so too, that Laidlaw was just having fun, and what other way to show the power of the Combine then to say they defeated Earth in 7 hrs.
I have my doubts that we will see those INCREDIBLE armies, simply because I don't think the people over at Valve have enough imagination to do that.

Adaptations of our technology, including the strider?
As for the synths, I would certainly like to find out how exactly they self replicate after all they look more like robots then living creatures.
I would like to see the real "alien" technology, like some of those enslaved races or maybe real combine soldiers( although that would be kind of strange since the real combine are immobile slugs)

It does varry. Dropships seem very bilogical but Shield Scanners seem mosty mechanical.
 
what the combine have on earth is basically a police force. They don't have any reason to leave behind all their big guns once the main task of conquering earth is done. So they leave behind some synths and upgrade some of earth's tech so that the overwatch can oppress it better.

You don't really need a giant cumbersome tank to oppress people when its simply cheaper to give a guy in a gas mask a pistol and an electric baton.

However now that the shit is once again hitting the fan, the actual combine might once again decide to tear shit up with full fledged combine might

The Combine main army would be so overwhelming that the game would be over in a few seconds. I'm sure, if they wanted to, they could incinerate the Earth in a matter of a few seconds. The Combine want to occupy the Earth and that's probably why we won't see many of the bigger guns the Combine possess.

I hope we see some troops from the main Combine army though!
 
Talk is cheap, I want to see those f*****g big guns, lol:p .

My PC version doesn't work, I play HL2 on my X-Box. Its an easier enough thing to see, though. If you've ever seen the screens of the one of the earlier HL2 maps at Horse Podium-square location I think they used the model there alongside several CP's and some citizens being searched.

Hard for me to say, but I guess it depends on the war the Combine have in a new conquest…

If you look in history, the first British solders use Roman stuff when Romans left them and some were Romans serving the new nation or kingdom. The same with the Visigoths, the Visigoths late troops look just like the Roman troops… And the same with Spain, Germany Greeks, and some others...

I’m asking agene, hey people this is my opinion with some fax, but what is yours?

As much I like the Combine( the Human ones), I do not know about you all, but I think Earth will be the New Empire!! Scenes I think the Human Combine uniforms looks very cool, I think Earth should use the Civil potation and Over-watch uniforms! :cheers: :farmer: (Kid Rock) :sniper:

Gordon Freeman didn't hurt the Combine one iota. He merely insulted them. Mr. Laid said in RTB that the Combine have "an infinity of attacks." A minor insurrection on a minor planet hardly raises an eyebrow for the Combine.

I dunno. I think the Combine have a strong enough force as it is.
 
well remember that many aspect have been cut from Full Hl2. Beta got many more than now. i guess if they have citadels, they have force unseen yet, in another dimensions and i feel we see them very, very soon! HL2: Aftermath episodis tell us more....

Are you simply talking about Earths forces?
The Hydra was never a Combine force, and Breens only power hold was the Overwatch...the Combine don't really consider Breen that great.
 
I'm sure the combine has lots of stuff in their army that we haven't seen yet, and thus can't speculate on. For one thing some kind of offensive air unit besides the gunship would be reasonable. Remember, everything we've seen so far, short of the Synths in the citadel, are occupational forces.
