Yeesh Abom, can't you wait until I get the poll up? ;)

Doesn't have my option! Your poll is politically incorrect :hmph:

Hm.... was going to add an "other" option, but it doesn't seem to want to let me add anything else...

It's aslo doesn't contain any other language than English, so it isn't international either.

Hmm.. Soft Drink, but english isn't my native language.

I call it by brand name, e.g. coke, fanta etc...

who calls it pop? northwesterners I guess.

I call it coke or dr. pepper since thats all I drink...

canadians call it pop
which i happen to be one of those
so pop for me

Mostly by the name it has, but other than that i call them fizzy drinks. Or pop occasionally.

When i went to America and asked where the fizzy drinks were they looked at me like i had just dropped my pants and urinated all over the cash register.

LOL sparrow... the first person that said fizzy drinks, I seriously thought they were just being a wiseass... didn't realize people actually called it that....

Yeah i think most people use that term around here. They certainly dont say soda.....unless the drink is 'American Cream Soda' but even then not always.

yeah, soft drink, i new there was another name for it. im australian

fizzy drinks
sounds like something from Willy Wonka.

i'm from texas originally. we're retarded and say coke for everything.

I'd like to second burnzie...no-one in Australia uses 'pop' or 'soda' (unless they're going to ask for a soda water). Fizzy drink also works here as well.

It's already there Apoc... you might recognize it better as the "back" button on your browser.

soda.

pop is for old people. maybe back in the forties it was called pop, but now one should only call soda "pop" when he/she is trying to annoy someone or act old/weird.

i only ever say the name if there are multiple kinds and i want a particular one, otherwise i just say "grab me a soda".

my grandpa said pop. hes dead now. moral = dont say pop, it makes you old. he was a great guy, but he said pop.

Pop, always pop. I can't stand it when people call it 'soda', or 'soda-pop'. I really don't know why, it just bugs me. I have to say I've never heard it called a 'fizzy drink'. However, 'fizzy drink' does make more sense than 'soda'. It conveys the essence of the drink, although it lacks the overall finesse and simplicity of 'pop'.

No I don't really take it this seriously

soft drink, as opposed to hard drink seams to make the most sence

used to call it pop when i lived in oklahoma.. went to school on the east coast, and have been out east-ish ever since, so now i call it soda without even thinking usually.
