What do you preferto wear at special occasions? Suit, Black tie (tuxedo, dinner jacket) or White tie (tailcoat)?

I've never worn a suit before....I have worn a tux, and it was VERY uncomfortable....but a suit I have not. I would like to some day..make me look a bit more professional.

I prefer a to wear a day coat, pants with stripes and cutaway coat. Perfect fits.

The few times when I wear formal dresses, it's always suit, probably because I don't own any white or black ties dresses. I'll prolly have a white tie for prom, though, if I'm going. It looks classy.

I like suits, but I prefer to wear the following at a smart occasion:

Clean cut grey or black skinny jeans, white pointy brogue shoes, slim fitted shirt with epaulettes, and a skinny black tie. And a nice wide black leather belt
