what do you think of this model of an uzi type gun. i started making it but its such a simple gun that i found it hard to make it look realistic as their wernt lots of details to do. can you think of any ways i can make it better if i do it again?

It's an Ingram Mac M10 (or M11). You're missing the rear iron sight. The rear is supposed to be flat, with lightly rounded edges. The collapsable wire buttstock is also missing.

The model is a bit simple... but it has been made VERY well

It looks nice to me. Not exactly accurate, like Phoenixx said, but good.

cheers guys. i modeled it from the only pictures i could find of the gun. so i presumed there might be details that i missed because you cannot see it in the pictures. do you know of any pictures that show the rear iron sight. i will do the collapseable buttstock. when you say the rear should be flat do you meen the way it goes down a bit at the end shouldnt be like that? even with the buttstock i feel it will be to simple to be a gun in firstperson view but maybe with a good skin it will work

Dude thats really cool how did you make that?

sir phoenix you didnt write anything on your post? i was gona try an make the back flat but ive rounded the edges so like its gona be tricky do you think it really matters?

ok an update i have done the buttstock but i will have to sort out the bottom bit when i find a referance picture that shows it properly. also if two brushes are overlapping will the model not work ingame?

No, an object overlapping another won't cause it to not work. But if you can, you should try to extrude most of the objects from, or connect parts to existing objects, making them the same mesh instead of just modeling each part as an individual object. (Like the grip, the two long protrusions on the left side, the irong sights, etc. should be connected to the body of the gun.)

it's looking better.

are you going to try and animate it (a reload or something) as well?

yeh its basicly my first modelk ive made it a bit betterbut ive just seen samios version of the gun and its so much better im probly gona do it again but i may aswell use it untill i do a new one. nonetheless this is the finished model its missing the rear iron sight but as im not keeping the model theres no point doing the sight.
