morphing or whatever, I heard about this feature a long time ago but nothing lately, I heard that they have a set of base models ( like face models ) and they morph them so you never see the same person twice, so I was wondering if they took it a step further like maybe make body skins or clothing like that ? that would be great

I think he means that there is a feature/tool that change the appearance of the people/model, making every creature or what ever look unique...

If i not wrong, i also heard of it b4.. but.. maybe it's not going to be implemented due to performance issue?

I dont think it was face morphing i think it was just clothes and colours. It hasnt been mentioned anywhere lately that ive seen.

I read sumwhere that the faces are all more or less unique as well. But i never heard anything about the clothes and if u look in the official trailer they all look the same in terms of clothes.

meh. :)

What ever.....i didnt mind the hundreds of only 4 kinds of scientists in hl1 or the grunts. And I didnt mind there being alot of Barnys. Its still really fun and kick ass with the story.

I read that all they would do was randomly pick if this person had a beard, moustache, etc. but same facial stucture (shape).

Nah, they just said that every character would have a different face. This doesn't include enemies as they are either aliens or have masks on. In the resistance and with Barney/Alyx etc. they will all have unique faces, or atleast more than the first :p fine by me anyway. Morphing faces will be something that could be inplemented but I don't see it as neccesary so yeh.

The people we've seen so far were wearing uniforms. It wouldn't be too hard to have people that look different tho. I mean, Deus Ex had that. It's just about whether you care to waste another preloaded model/skin for a character that's basically cannon fodder.

I can't imagine the character looking all that unique without making a entirely new model. Same clothes, same facial features, same props. Then a couple of varying polygons here and there, who would notice?

you really wouldnt need to change the model. just have a few different skins per character model.
