What exactly happened....

What happened exactly in the first level of HL2 after you get knocked out by the combine? Does Alyx kill the combine officers with a gun or fighting? I ask this because I find it hard to belive that Alyx could beat up 5 combine police officers with her bare hands.

And they're not dead - just unconscious, she tells you as much.

Says something like "Hurry, they won't be out for long" or something along those line. Makes me think they were knocked out by a stun baton maybe.

I'm pretty sure she just knocked them unconcious, because she says "The combine are quick to wake when they're called on" or something like that. It is pretty wierd how she can knock out 5 metro cops and you can't even punch any of them...someone should mod in fists or something.

Not trying to be sexist here but how is one woman going to beat up about 5 combine officers WHEN they have stun sticks and are probably stronger than her and have the advantage of numbers. Especially all in 4 seconds

I think it was just characterization... an event like that is simply used to build the character.
