What films are you looking forward to this summer?

Well as the title says, what films (that are left for general release over the summer season) are you looking forward to?

Personally the next one for me is The Bourne Supremacy. The Bourne Identity, although not massivley successful commercially, I found to be really good.
 
I, robot comes out soon, looks halfway decent.

Does Aliens vs. Predator come out in 'summer'?

I, robot had so much potential, but it seems to have fallen by the way-side... especially with the addition of Wil Smith.

Hero? Isn't that movie like a year old, if you mean that chinese movie.

probally spiderman 2 and AVP. does the day after tommorow count, as i still havent seen it? aww, probally stopped screening anyway. damn freinds didnt want to see it... good for nothing lazy asswipesofyourmother....

No, it's a new one with jet li. He plays a super ninja! Looks kinda cool actually, go see one of the trailers. You'll be :eek: :eek:

In September Sky Captain comes out, and theres some really good buzz around it.
 
Hero is like two years old, it came out in asia two years ago, then a year later england, now its on american shores...i saw it.....it really really really sucked, like the action was pretty ok but the characters are so expendable and devoid of emotion, even the subbed version had bad dialogue, just rent the movie when it comes out on dvd, it's really not worth going to the theater for....really

It was released in Europe, I think. Well, it was on the cinemas here in Sweden and I rented it on DVD once.

Yeah, it's friggin amazing. :)

i thought drunken master was leaps and bounds over anything hero had to offer, to me it was just another crouching tiger rip, which it really is, but yea watch drunken master it's my favorite martial arts flick of all time.
 
Hero was a great movie. The images were awesome!

AMEN! Drunken Master IS the best martial arts movie ever. I thnik I'll watch it again.

one of the funnies most unbelievable martial arts flicks in the universe, the twenty minute ending fight is just unimaginable, i mean who could possibly concieve something like that to choreograph, that's also my favorite jackey chan movie of all time

Exorcist: The Beginning (prequel to the original - the most frightening movie of all time)'
 
now that i've seen shrek2 and spider-man, i really don't find anything interesting in the box office, well....i was a big fan of the bourne identity, so i will watch supremacy but that's probably gonna be it
 
The Village and Collateral, the rest looks like crap.

The Incredibles looks quite good too.
 
^^^ based on what I've seen, I'm going with your 2nd option.

And I agree with you about The Incredibles (thought it will be an autumn release, not a summer one)

maybe avp. it will probably suck

summer movies tend to suck hard, that's the only bad thing.
 
Anyone ever see The Matrix prelude movies? The are almost identical to I, Robot. I think the one was called renaissance or something. I'll post a link later, because I have to go now. Someone else might know where they are.

Yep, the two animations were a part of The Animatrix. They were called Second Renaissance part 1 and 2. I thought they were pretty saddening because how they had told mankind's fall.
 
Ahh, The Second Renaissance I&II. That alone is why I almost bought the Animatrix. Then I found I only had a $10 bill so I left the store :D

*ahem* Moving on, I'm really looking forward to Sky Captain And The World Of Tomorrow for some strange reason. It looks so quirky and pointless, you just have to see it.

Also, The Village, which looks really interesting and scary. Plus I love all 3 other Shyamalan movies. [edit] Or was it 4? Unbreakable, Sixth Sense, Signs... Nothing else comes to mind. I guess it's just 3.

I, Robot also looks cool. I have to see it. And I still need to see Dodgeball.

[edit2] Also The Manchurian Candidate. And The Incredibles. And The Bourne Supremacy.

This is turning out to be a great year for games AND movies :cheers:

especially looking forward to december cause the sequel to one of the greatest movies ever is coming out- OCEAN'S 12!!!!!!!!

Yeah, Tarantino produced it. But that movie really is about 2 years old.

Alien Versus Predator of course, my god, if you guys watched the Alien movies, AND all the Predator movies, you would want to see this as well. I anticipate this more than any other movie I have seen ad's for.

Don't forget being a fan of the AvP game series. Single player was scary on marine campaign and multiplayer was fun as hell. The AvP movie was inspired by them.
