Just a "spinoff" continuation of Darkedge34's thread. So what games do YOU hate?

Mine are:

Anything by Pheonix Games. It's like CDi Zelda bad. I mean every single one of their games are that bad.

It's difficult to hate games, or go out of your way to play bad games. Bad games are just bad games, why hate them? I think it's only possible to hate something because you miss why so many people love it. That in mind, I'd expect Halo to come up somewhere in this thread, but it's not going to be from me. Me? I hate Final Fantasy X (no gameplay, by-the-numbers life-stretching sidequests, dull characters mine-carted out of the marmite mine by pitiful localisation) and the Sims (I never imagined a virtual dollhouse could be so boring. I'm going to go back to playing with the real thing).

Fallout 3 destroys homes and perfectly legitimate forum threads, and I was here before it was mentioned.

I wouldn't go so far as to say hate, but I really dislike JRPGs. As a genre they're pretty terrible.

Why so much hate on jrpgs? I haven't played one in awhile..yes they are cliche but I generally enjoy the Final fantasies (not the spin offs). On the other hand..no matter how much I try I can't begin to understand why people like PC rpgs, at all. I can't stand WoW, GW or diablo. They bore the shit out of me. Same with guitar hero, simply because it makes you look like a ****in retard.

Starcraft, Halo, CS.

Good games? Ok. But give me new gameplay plz.

I'm pretty sure FF is the only series of games that I hate, but there are a number of game communities that I hate to an insane degree:

Counter-Strike
Call of Duty 4

I don't actually hate any games.

Games that I thought were mediocre or not worth the hype however...

Portal: Probably my own fault since I hate puzzle games but I enjoyed listening to Glados, managed get me to chuckle a few times.
And I manged to beat most of the challenges out of sheer luck or flukes, giving me no real sense of completing them the way they're meant to.
I just did not enjoy it.

Team Fortress 2: I just don't find it fun, I've tried playing as team with a few friends and HL2netters and still didn't like it.
Not my kind of game, can't put my finger on why.
Yes, I was actually pretty decent at it... so **** off with the "lol u jus suk noob" comments.

World of Warcraft: Eh, maybe I should just put all MMORPGs in general.
If you're a low level player, prepare to grind like **** to get to any of the good stuff... way too tedious and some cities are ****ing hard to navigate.
Yes, I've played the game with friends as well.
We had a few laughs but ultimately I did not like it.

EVE Online: Jesus, where do I start? Too ****ing complex, I hate how you navigate through space... it should've been like X3 or Freespace... the playerbase is full of ****ing cocksuckers, I got ****ing robbed so many times when I was trying to show my friend some stuff... I'd eject something and some **** comes out of no where and swipes it, and it's too god damn time consuming... it takes ages to do anything at all.

Battlefield 2: Blame Punkbuster, ruins an otherwise excellent game.

All past & future CryTek titles.

Halo: It's just so generic. The levels are cut and paste and to top it of you play through half of it then have to backtrack though it all. The story's a a load of shit, it just fails everywhere.

Metal Gear Solid Series: Dear God the story suck .They are just way over dramatic, and i can't see what all the fuss is about. Now i love cutscenes and usually never skip them, but MGS had me bored to tears with them.

Why the hate for Final Fantasy? I'm i the only one here who likes JRPG's?

You know that those are MMORPGS, right? Completely different than normal PC RPGS like Fallout or Planescape: Torment.

Yes I do, I guess I should have said that. Anyways I've tried planescape and couldn't really get into that either. I have a lot of respect for them don't get me wrong, they look like fun but..I just end up playing for a few hours then gradually losing interest.

Viewtiful Joe Royal Rumble on the PSP, ****in horrible game.

also Asssssssssssssses Creed, worst game I ever paid $60 for. that and Chromehounds

I tend to reserve my feelings of hate for more appropriate subject matters.

Such as Jews.

Smash bros. series. It sucks.
Dead Space. It sucks.
Resistance 1/2. They suck.
Team Fortress 2. It wa fun for a few months after release, but all the updates are bullshit.

Everything said here. Nail on the head.

I have a special shield that protects from bullies and bad games.

If you ever even imply that Super Smash Bros. is a bad game again, Neptune and I will **** you up quite soundly.

Since you kind of have a valid argument for atleast not liking TF2, I'll let it slide.

pokemon AND super smash bros. can suck these black balls for all I care.

Hey, what's the difference between an McHammer and my dog?

I'm still friends with my dog

I have to say Halo. Not because it's a bad game -- it's not -- but because I've run across so many people so insistent that it's so much better than it actually is. No bad feelings towards the game itself though.

All movie games ever made or being created right now

thats one of my favorite games of all time and its not a movie game because it predates the all movie games ever made or being created right now statement

and Riddick, but the majority of movie based games suck

All RPGs. I have never been able to get into them. I was trying to play Super Mario RPG the other day since it's held in such high regard. I couldn't stand it. I remember playing it shortly after it came out and feeling the same way. Yeah, I'm missing out on legendary games like Chrono Trigger and Final Fantasy and whatever, but I'm fine with that. I just don't care for that type of gameplay.

Also, the entire Halo series. I got through the first one alright, but I thought it was pretty mediocre. I couldn't wait for the second one to be over. It was just terrible. Horrible progression, boring, repetitive environments, boring combat, and a shitty story. I managed to beat it, though. I couldn't even finish the third one. It was unbearable. The entire Halo story line is just a messy, boring, difficult to follow pile of shit.

Oh and Team Fortress 2. I played it during a free weekend and I couldn't have fun even after sticking with it for a while.

I hate FPSs. It's just me: running around, hiding, crawling, firing at things commando-style is not funny at all. I can tolerate them when there is a good plot, interesting setting and/or RPG elements.
Love: Half-Life, Bioshock, Fallout 3...
Hate: Far Cry, Call Of Duty, Doom, Quake...

I hate multiplayer games, too, because I want deep stories. I don't like competition and there are a lot of people that take them too seriously.

I cannot get into Diablo 2, despite my brother's many attempts to get me to play it... Similarly I'm not fond of any RTS games I have played.

I don't hate them of course, I just am not a fan.

For "hate" I despise the communities for: DotA and CS. And that's with me playing the games regularly (God knows why, I always just get pissed off at someone).

As far as RPGs, I like all sorts well enough, but I really struggle to play through Bioware's games... I only beat the NWN1 + expacks this past summer despite owning them since release, and I've never even come close to beating Kotor. I'm not sure what it is but I can't play them for long. Only beat NWN because I was playing it lan'd. No hate for MMOs from me. Come to think of it, RPGs that I've liked are few and far between. I can't think of any... Hm.

Left4Dead dissapointed me.I dont hate it.But it isnt that great everyone is saying it is
