Thinking of getting a game or 2 to tide me over for a few months... mainly multiplayer as I prefer playing with others.

Im thinking of the id super pack and cod4 currently but open to suggestions :)

I've picked up Bioshock, Portal, Civ4, UT3, and GTA4

Maybe you should buy games you want to play...just a thought

He doesn't know enough about/doesn't know what games he wants to play to choose.

Scrabble.

I just got bioshock, audiosurf, trials 2 and Dark Messiah for about 20$

Trials 2 is fun, despite the later levels being insanely difficult trial and error type deals.

I only got dark messiah because it was cheap and I remembered having fun throwing random items at people in the demo.

Oh, buy The Ship! It's the best multiplayer game available on Steam right now. Seriously it's the most fun you can have online outside of...well, nothing. Buy The Ship.

/me gags uncontrollably

Don't listen to naysayers--the only reason anyone would tell you to not buy The Ship is to keep the servers from getting clogged. Right now there are so many people playing it that there aren't a lot of servers, so it can get kind of congested. Buy The Ship, dude. Shit's awesome plus change.

Games ive got already from Steam - All the HL games inc OpFor/Blueshift and the HL2 episodes/CS 1.6/CS:S/Portal/TF2/L4D/Max Payne 1&2/Crysis and Warhead/The Ship (Awesome game)/Fallout3/Far Cry 2/Peggle and a few other games. And yea im just trying to get ideas..

Aww I really want to get Bioshock, but it's not available here. It's just $5. :(

If you haven't already valve complete pack is a necessity

The Ship is actually kick ass. Just thought I'd chime in on that. Another amazing game you might want to pickup is World of Goo.

CoD 4 is good, but people always complain about the nade spam so idunno (never noticed it on Xbox). Bioshock is $5 so why the heck not. Also if you don't have them check out the $1 deals: Doom 1 and 2, the Half-Life expansions and some Popcap games. No reason not to have them for that price.

For multiplayer though, you can't really go past Left 4 Dead at the moment, especially if you have friends to play with. I think that might be on special too...

Lately I have bought:
The Orange Box
Left 4 Dead
Peggle Deluxe
STALKER: Shadow of Cheronbyl
STALKER: Clear Sky
Bioshock
Opposing Force
Blue Shift
:)

The Ship was one of my first Steam games I got everything for about ₤5 from Amazon.
I think it's awesome apart from needs, which are just boring.

World of Goo
Left 4 Dead

I dunno about the ship, tried a trial and was very mixed about it. The concept is ****ing fantastic and I wish It'd been performed better. Didn't quite like the whole security stuff though. It was a good idea, but I never had any idea what type of zone I was in, or what I was allowed to do there. If it's real cheap, you should probably buy it.

Are Frontlines: Fuel of War and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars any good?

Wait... how much is Bioshock/when does this sale end?

I just bought The Ship on Darksides recommendation. I'll post back with my reaction.

Frontlines: Awesome but nothing special. Seeing as it's discounted I suppose it's worth a look.
ETQW: Dunno.

World of Goo is a must buy...in general, not just specifically from Steam, ideally from the devs themselves...anyway!

IL-2 Sturmovik and Silent Hunter III are the last two games I bough, the two together cost me just shy of 12 pounds earlier today.

:D

Yeah but Darkside recommended A THREE-DEE SONIC GAME. Haha, see how I just went there guys?

I came in here to recommend the Unreal deal pack, but apparently they ran out of CD keys for a couple of the games so they stopped doing it. Haha, oh Epic, if only you could enjoy your vast, vast fortune. Pity then, that it all goes towards keeping CliffyB on life support, who is obviously a testosterone-fuelled mutant cyborb with motorcycles for penises.

Are Frontlines: Fuel of War and Enemy Territory: Quake Wars any good?

Meh and meh. Frontlines was entertaining but not remotely special, and I could never get into ETQW.

Games I recommend
Valves Games (Great time to pick up Left 4 Dead if you haven't already)
AudioSurf
Garry's Mod
Vampire Bloodlines
World of Goo
Shadowgrounds

Games I'm going to/thinking about buying (opinions welcome)
Bioshock (definite buy here)
Reaxxion
Aquaria
Beyond Good & Evil
ThreadSpace: Hyperbol

I tried it during it's first free weekend, decided not to buy.

World of Goo and Audiosurf is looking pretty good to me right now.
