Yeah, I guess it's a good popcorn flick.
I was just pissed about how badly it was translated from book to movie.
Realistically if the book was truly made into a proper movie, it definitely wouldn't be PG-13.

Grim Fandango would, to be honest, make a very good movie. In fact, a fantastic movie.. if it was made by the creators of the game. If not, Tim Burton would be the obvious choice.

Michael Bay is an all style, absolutely no substance whatsoever director. Michael Mann...is a man of large style and large substance.

And as great as the MGS series is, there's no reason to turn it into movie format. The games play like movies anyway. And they're far longer.

I vote Max Payne 2. the story was much simpler, and as a result, much better in Max Payne 2.

If they made Max Payne, they'd most likely rewrite alot of the plot, but keep key elements. Max Payne 2, you could easily just leave it as is and put it up there on the screen.

Other than that, Grim Fandango would be fantastic if it were animated and Thief would awesome if it were done right.

I didn't enjoy Advent Children, but I think the idea of making Metal Gear Solid a CGI movie could be enjoyable, Metal Gear Solid's story is ridiculous anyway, so I don't think you're going to get any world class movie out of it. It SHOULD appeal to the fans of the game, obviously.

I really can't picture MGS as a CG movie. I'm thinking more Japanese, stylistic live-action with CG intertwined. Like Casshern, but not shit... hell, the plot would be about as convoluted though, if not more >_>

If Advent Children really didn't want me to care about the story, they could have left the pretentious crap that I didn't even get in the first place out. And Casino Royale and Die Hard both had stories to them.
