what happened in the first Sin?

i have never even heard of this game until i found out about the Sin episodes...i guess b/c i didnt have a computer that can play any game back then...i was just wondering if these Sin episodes follow right after the original Sin game, and if so what happened in the end of the first one?

I hated how the first level of Sin made the game seem like a promising one, and then, the later you got in the gane, the worst it would get....
