What happened to the blue spear?

Okay, flame all you want, but I did get the opportunity to play the leaked version awhile ago. It had a gun that shot out a blue spear-ish thing and you could toss enemies around with it like they were on a rope. I just beat the game yesterday afternoon and was very disappointed to not see this in the game. I don't have the strategy guide or anything, so is this still in the game? Or did they take it out because of the leak? Sad sad.

i played the beta too and it had some kick ass weapons in it !!!

snipers and much more !!!

what about that one weapon and if you threw it in roles around and then sprong open into this weird contraption !!

There was no beta. There was a stolen build. The public were never supposed to see it.

During the course of development, things change. Weapons get changed, added and removed. You just happened to see them because you downloaded the stolen build. Stop bitching.

There was alot of cool thing in the leak that they dropped.

The flare gun was probably dropped because the street levels seem more toned down (not so many guys on the peers at the top of the building anymore ).

The springy blue thing was probably dropped due to the amount of bugs it had, crashed all the time.

The one thing that has annoyed me though is the physgun, why the hell did they cut that

#1 - I didn't download the leak, a friend did. I played it. If you still consider that stealing, then okay. I am a criminal.
#2 - I don't use cheats. But, if that will get it, then I will.

Are you really sure? I typed "give weapon_physgun" in console and it came up with an error. On the oter hand "give weapon_physcannon" gives the standard physcannon.
It would really piss me off if they totally deleted the physgun, because it much more fun playing around with it instead of just catch, hold and throw objects with the physcannon.
If they really deleted it, i hope som1 comes up with a mod.

Just so you don't miss the point again - the stolen build was never intended to be used by the public. The weapons you saw when playing a "friend's" copy were in development, not final. That's why so many didn't make it to the end product.

#2 - I don't use cheats. But, if that will get it, then I will.

Could someone make a thread with how to use all the commands and stuff,
I got a small list of weapons and commands, but some of them dont work,
I want to get the blue gravity gun, I guess that you have to get the original orange one and then give a command to change its functionality, but i dont know.

I really dont care what weapons they could of used, but WTF there are like 4 weapons i use for the game thats it ..

There seriuosly could of added like 4 more weapons and id be super happy. Some of the weapons from the beta were pretty good. i mean the other assualt rifle was fing AWESOME...... WTF !!!!!!!
