I know it's a strange topic, but I just bought myself a new mouse and mousepad in anticipation of Half Life 2.

Microsoft Intellimouse Optical <-- great for me because I am left-handed
Icemat mousepad (black) <-- absolutely cool and one of the best mousepads I have ever had.

Has anyone else bought something to pay early homage to this game? Or perhaps done something like get a tattoo?

Mouse and mousepad? Weird question. I don't use a mouse. I despise the mouse. Optical trakball all the way. No need for a mousepad and no need for a flat surface.... if only it was wireless...

OIC. :p

I got the Microsoft intellimouse optical..the one with the 5 buttons on it.
Very comfy.

I think I could wait another 20 days instead of having a missing arm, and a life sentence in prison for a ****ing computer game!!!!!

You know once it's released, we're gonna laugh at posts like this.

I am laughing at it now. Ps I voted to kill some one and cut off my arm. :)

Actually a lot of people upgraded their pcs in hope to be able to run HL2 with all the visuals..me being one of them..
But I still voted for get a life, because that's about all I'll do for it..
And I can't believe I've waited this long to upgrade my pc what a difference all these new things make

I built a new pc... though not entirely for HL2. I did it for my Senior Project/HL2 :)

Are you saying you use the mouse with you left hand?
Weird, I'm left-handed and I use my right hand for mouse.......

WOW you bought a new mousepad for HL2. Everyone else seems to be upgrading thier entire computers....

I seem to be really agressive today. I gues I'm still annoyed at MS for using HL2 to brag about windows...

Derby - I have already built a new system for Half-Life 2 (aswell as for all other future games, like Doom III and S.T.A.L.K.E.R.). The mous and mousepad are just the recent additions.

Here is the specs of this new dream machine:

3.01 Ghz Intel CPU
Gigabyte 8KNXP mobo (super fast and stable)
1 GB RAM (2 x Corsshairs DDR 3200LL CAS 2)
36 GB WD Raptor 10K HDD SATA
9700 Radeon PRO
Lian Li PC75B with window.
Zalman Fan Controller (lovely blue and red lights - controls 6 fans)
Logitech KB (cordless black)
2Mbit ADSL (Nildram)

This is an absolutely beautiful machine, and runs so fast due to the Raptor HDD. Booting takes just under a minute into Win XP Pro (ready to go).

It took a while to get the mobo stable, due to early BIOS probs, but was well worth the trouble in the end. Now there is no instability at all, and I have tons of apps and games installed.
