Finally got the game working yesterday, after my computer was dead from virus/trojan horse infections. Well im very impressed. I thought dod source would just be like CSS, but with WW2 guns and a different setting. It is completly different however, and I really like the realism aspect and need for teamwork.
Furthermore I think the game and weapons is so balanced (from the maps I have played).
When I heard there was a grenade launcher on the M1, I thought every1 would be using it and it would become lame; but the fact that you get barely any ammo for it, and the grenade does not explode on impact (i think) means its more balanced.
Also I thought the bazooka would be overly used...but the fact that you are soo imobile with it, means it is difficult to use.
Then theres the machine guns, I thought with their power and rate of fire, every1 would be using it. But because of the fact you have to deploy it to fire accurately; means it cannot be used by complete noobs.
 
this is all very true, the game is very good but just a bit to much recoil on guns.
plus there are some small bugs and thay are small, "I do love this game allot and have stoped playing CC s for the time being....
 
getting stuck together is annoying. some weapons are completely underpowered, such as the kar rifle...that used to be a one shot kill ffs. 5 rounds and you have to hit them twice? pfft.

oh and bazooka rules because of the carbine secondary weapon...mmm...fast, accurate as hell and only takes 2 shots to kill with a decent sized magazine.
 
Usually MGs aren't the best of choice.

As for the Kar, Dynast, if you can aim, you still one-hit-kill. Kar is still a pro weapon.
