What I Suggested To Valve "LINUX"!!!

hmm....I seem to remember Microsoft migrating hotmail to win2000 servers and the amount of time hotmail would go down greatly increased. I am not sure but on the backend, I think hotmail is still using quite a few linux and solaris servers.

It's always funny seeing people talk out of their asses.. and lot's of that going on here :)

Unix has been around for 20 years. Its had plenty of opportunity to be attacked by hackers, viruses. Yet there's never been a serious worm that's managed to do what happens every eight months or so with the windows world: latest being Blaster.

To all those saying Linux just doesn't get attacked so much because its not so popular: You're just wrong.

Ie, that SSL bug in the browsers that someone mentioned. If memory serves me right, that also hit every version of IE back to Win 98. Took 3 hours for the first patches to appear for the open source browsers. Took 3 months for the first to appear for IE, and that was only on 2000/XP.

There really are quite a few MS fanboys in here...

No! They will need to build a fortress, with guards surrounding it everywhere... on the moon!

mwuaahahahahahahaha.... lets see those hackers break into it then!

Get your damn facts straight, stupid. MS hired Akamai to mirror their static contents, and Akamai runs Linux, that easy. All dynamic contents run on Windows 2003 and IIS6. And dont even try to show me Netcraft stats, because they probed mostly only the Akamai servers.

I was talking about the microsoft/unisys site which uses freeBSD and apache.

Me no stupid

EDIT: please refrain from derogitary remarks
