In this thread you basically just post anyhting you would like to see in Oblivion. It can be far-fethced, something that will never happen, anyhting really. Heres mine, at least all I can think of right now .(Warning, Major spoilers!)

Factions
Imperial Legion:
Description: For years has the great Imperial Legion defended the people of the Empire, undaunted, never un-matched. Yet with the emporers death and the empire in chaos, the Legion is falling apart. Things were only made worse by the assassination of Adamuss Phillidia by the Dark Brotherhood, whose succserser is too frightened to move against the crippled Brotherhood, or any other enemy for that matter. The scattered Legion is facing numerous foes, however the Ogre tribe Nefakal poses the biggest threat to the Empire.
Main Foes: The Nefakel Ogre tribe was destroyed by the Legion a couple of centuries ago. Now they have returned, and have since sworn revnege upon the Empire. They have built up a huge army since they were defeated, and hate the empire for murdering they're villagers without honor or mercy. They are not concerned with other events, and use the Oblivion situation to their advantage...
Ranks: Same as Morrorwind, though perhaps things such as spearman changed, as htey aren't any spears in Oblivion.
Prerequisates: Adamuss Pillidia must have been killed in the Dark Brotherhood quest line.

Kvatch Reborn:
Description: With the scrouging of the deadra from Kvatch, this colovian city can finally look forward to rebuilding. However, the survivors have been disheartened by the death of their beloved count, and look to a new leader. The hero of Kvatch was soon nominated, and soon a messenger will reach his location with the request...
Objectives: Several quests involving collecting artefacts and perhaps donating money to Kvatch to help rebuild. Will have the option to raise or lower taxes, which will obviously result in different er, results. Higher = more money, lower = um...I'll get back to you... You get money weekly. They'll be misseleanoues quests for Kvatch too.
Prerequists: must have gotton to Dagon Shrine in main quest, must have a fame of 30, and lots of cash too :p

Other stuff

Well, the old Morrowind armour, weapons, spells and music. Where were they in Oblivion? The ability to have a spouse (a la fable) get jobs (vine worker, paper boy etc.) perhaps have kids though this would shoot the rating right up.

And stuff that will never happen

The ability to join the Mythic Dawn, Blackwood Cmopany, and Necromancers guild (I said it woulnd't happen)

Anyway, what would YOU like to see in Oblivion?

A game that i felt actually part of the world, had more voice actors, better choices for characters evil/goodness and no silly leveling idea.

Lol, speaking of voice actors, I spoke to that begger in the waterfront (for a theives guild quest, not much reason to speak to them otherwise is there), and he was speaking in a pathetic begger-like way, then I asked him about rumors and his voice became standard Imperail Male voice. Lollers.

1) Enchant, Short Blade/Long Blade skills. It would make daggers actually have a point in the game, and Enchant would let you enchant your own items, rather then going to some stupid alter..

2) The creatures from Morrowind (Scrib, Nix Hound, Kagouti, etc. NO CLIFF RACERS!)

3) As much or more guilds then Morrowind (Imperial Legion, Temple, Imperial Cult, Morag Tong, etc. (there are atleast 3 more, I just can't remember them..)

4) Better atmosphere (for some reason Bethesda can never get a good atmosphere in any of their Elder Scrolls games IMO, by atmosphere I mean more life and things like that. Example: rather then seeing the same wolf in the wild, you'd see birds you can hunt, rabbits, and things along those lines. NO CLIFF RACERS THOUGH!)

Lollers!
I just thought of one: Dual Wielding. Just look at Battlemages, they don't use block, but they have both blade and blunt. Since you can only use one then one major skill is going to waste. Duel Weilding would mean using a mace and a sword. (Sure its unlogical, but it would be cool ;) )

A better story, not involving another Realm. That made it suck, I hate it when the sky goes red, all you think of is "FFS here I go again..."

This was the breaking point for me.

I concur, the Oblivion gate was a fresh change (though not very origanal) but after closing like 8 gates I was sick of them. And that was before the gather allies quest...D:
EDIT: But then the main quest isn't exactly Oblivion's strong point.

The sidequests are much better. It's unfortunate how much...soul the main story lacks. Hell, Morrowind wasn't perfect either, but it had a good, in depth plot. Oblivion is pretty average.

Agreed. It felt so empty.

I had a really good time with Oblivion, despite the obvious issues.

I'd like to see Morrowind, as it was, completely remade into this engine. Shame it cant really be done since you cant mod in new (old) weapon types.

Or those retarded Cliff runner thingies...what were they called again? I forget.

I'd like to see a game in the Oblivion engine with ALL the skills from Daggerfall, such as climbing etc, not to mention different 'monster' languages so you can communicate with monsters to avoid having to fight, it'd also be cool if they added back the different rankings with different 'groups' in the world, you had reps with nobility, peasants etc.. Daggerfall is still the best Elder Scrolls game tbh.

i actually think that the dual weild would be great, pointless and stupid. but it would add hours of entertainment knowing your wasting your time. sounds like another great idea.

What do you mean wasting your time?

Surely you play the game for fun, so having fun... is not wasting time?
