What is Alyx???

Well, dont know if this disscussion has been had, but I've always had a sneaking suspicion that Eli's daughter, Alyx, is not completely human, for one, she always appears ahead of you in the game (tunnels video) unharmed, and the story in the game will have a twist, so why not it in her identity? And she must have been born shortly after or around the Black Mesa incident.

Lastly, i heard Gabe, when asked if he would go with a girl like Alyx, saying that shes "not really his type" in such a way as to suggest not really my type, i dont make it with robots/androids/aliens.

Nah, just kiddin' ya. I don't personally get that feeling about Alyx, but since the plot is yet to be revealed... who knows?

(Besides VALVe and the people who have a certain piece of illegal software, that is.)

Yeah, that's what I meant, although I doubt Gabe is gay. He doesn't seem it. Anyway, I think he was referring to the fact that he prefers real women over computer-generated models.

You could never understand me. Do you know what it's like to spend every day of your life knowing that you're simply a computer program, a string of 0s and 1s on a disk? To know that there is no point to your 'life', to know that soon millions of people will see you fight and die live onscreen when the game is released? To know that with that hacker attack you were only a hair's breadth away from being stolen too? mmm boobies,, mmm Silicon, Pluh? sorry got a bit carried away,, mah she looks perfectly human to me ;). but i do know shes got a cyborg pet.. that dog thing (looks like a handy companion).... so thinking about it. why would she be a robot aswell?
 
She might be a clone, a clone of her mother maybe, judging by her age, she might of been born or young when it all went pear shaped. But thats just me. She looks around 20-25 years old, and sounds like a colleague of mine at work. If the game is set 15 years into the future, then that would of made her 5 or 10 when the Black Mesa incident happened. Is her mother the HOLOGRAM from the training course.

Also there is speculation that when Half Life2 is released, They'll release an Enhanced Version of the original. (Extra content maybe) they might introduce us to Alyx and her mother (Although Alyx wouldn't be on the base (We could see her at the end of the original).
