What is the bestest BitTorrent Downloader evar?

Bittorrent itself is not illegal, as it is a very legitimate means of file transfer. It is the sharing of copywritten material that is illegal.

I use Shareaza. As long as (if you have a router) you open the right ports, then it's really fast. And it connects to 4 client protocols at once.

I think it's a tie between Azureus and BitComet... Personally I'm an Azureus user.

I didn't like all the Java cack running with Azureus. Bitcomet is great - everything's a doddle on it. The only problem is that some trackers ban it for some reason, but there's a patch to get around that if you encounter it (I never have).

For the rare times that I use BitTorrent, I like Bitlord. Small, simple and effective. I just uninstall it, then reinstall it whenever I want to download a Torrent.

Yeah, the "general use" torrent sites are the ones that get shut down the fastest. I have a couple favorite special interest ones that I guess it wouldn't be right for me to mention here. When I want software or movies I just google, but I regularly go to some good sites for TV shows and stuff. One for my Adult Swim cartoon network shows (Sealab, Robot Chicken, etc.), one for South Park, one for TV torrents in general, and of course, one for porn. Those have been up for a long time and I don't see them going down any time soon.

Big game sites have BT downloads availiable...so yeah, its completely legal and above board. Not all of us think of a BT client as a way to get access to illegal movies/games/music like you must if you think this thread isn't above board
