What is this amazing MOD? someone please tell me

when i try to download the linked mod, it gives yet another mod smc_chapter or something and it has absolutely nothing to do with these amazing pics.

No, they are not. Some of them look just as good as the final build of HL2.

I agree, some of the shots (like the screen with the Strider) are very, very ugly. But some of them look just as good as the final build, if not better.

Purely graphic they don`t look better, no. But I like the atmosphere, especially on the last one. And saying `they look so, so ugly` is ridiculous IMO.

Oh, and those numbers on the Combine backs look strange.

I agree that a lot of those shots are very nice looking, not better, but definitely not ugly.

I think some of those maps were leaked and/or part of the big leak and you could probably find and play them, but it's not worth it.
