Have you heard if you are in my home i can kill you, and as long as i can prove my or anothers life was in danger, i get off?
I am not an idiot, and the legal system is so flawed that a criminal could sue me becuase he hurt himself breaking in.
Hmmm no matter what they have done? You have never had yours or you friends life in real danger have you? Oh, wait, it is obvious by your holier that thou attitude... yes i have, i grew up in a shit area of town, had my house broken into twice, and had my family threatened. No, i didn't go aout hunting them, they didn't hurt me, or my family. Scared yes, angry, yes.
That said, i wouldnt kill someone becuase they broke into my house. But if the threatened me to where i felt my life was in danger, i would fell no remorse in killing them.
And you know this how? I am not going to go into personal details about my family - but you are wrong. It was 'obvious' in your view but obviously wrong.
You were saying how you would go after people who did x criminal behaviour. I was just saying, you cannot do this in this society, and I am presuming you live in a Western society and not Sierra Leone or Somalia or somewhere where you could. There would be anarchy if everyone was allowd to revenge kill or beat anyone who crossed them.
And in California I would kill someone who was in my house, and who had violently entered, which you are permitted to do. Being elsewhere now, the law being different, I still would hurt them as much as I could to subdue them. But if they broke in, and I find out who it was, I am not going to track them down and kill them or even beat them. I would report them to the police. And I think thats all you would do to, if you are honest with yourself. The hardmen that exact revenge on some sort of misguided honour code are few and far between in reality.
