Alright, time for a delay poll. Whats next, post your opinion.
What is the next release Valve will boch?

They will delay selling the game to you for making this topic.

Seriously, i'd say expect at least another delay before it hits the stores...

Well, the only date after the HL2 preload (which has already been delayed) that they possibly can botch would be the release date itself. So I vote for that.

I'd have to say cs:s. There going to be trying to make it as hack-proof as they can.

Well, atleast they told us something and didn't keep us wondering like they did on Sept. 30th last year

The Game is coming soon...

Don't live or die by dates....afterall Time is relative

Hopefully stupid threads like this are going to be delayed...
stupid? its certainly better than the times we have 15 HL2 PRELOAD!!!!!! threads. really, if you dont contribute something to the thread, then dont post here

Can I vote for Valve delaying their business lunch reservation?

No matter what game, piece of software, computer, server, website, anything. It can be hacked. No matter what.

matters what day of the week.... they have to do it 24 hours in advanced or they have to pay a fee.

I say the next official release date will be pushed back at least once.

HL2 will be hacked. Then the hacker will be banned from steam :E

they probably will make the monday preload.. but theres no way in hell I see a summer release at this point.

Valve should just be quite from now on and let EB games just call us once HL2 gets in..., sorry, call us IF HL2 gets in.

OMG, Valve delays EVERYTHING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1111

Quick Overview:

Half-Life 1 (1 Year)
Team Fortress 2 (5 Years)
Counter-Strike: Condition Zero (Over 6 Months)
Half-Life 2 (So Far A Year)
Certain Steam Updates (Quite Often)
The Release Of The 2003 Bink Videos (Took Over 9 Months To Release Them All)
Codename Gordon (Delayed Because Of Waiting For Valve To Release On Steam)
Counter-Strike: Source Beta (About 12 Days)
Half-Life 2 Preloading (So Far 6 Days)
Half-Life 2: SDK (Almost A Year)

Need I Go On?

Valve delays everything!!!!!!!!

Hahahaha, well said.

But back to the topic.

I voted Hl2's release. I think we probably will see Half-Life 2 by the end of this year if we`re lucky. If we`re not lucky.. well.. some time in 2005?

I would like to vote HL2 preload to, but I cant vote twice. Offcourse they want to delay the HL2 preload once again, don`t you Valve? I know you want :)

I've heard rumour Valve have employed George Broussard as their new public relations advisor. Any truth to that?

OMG I R TEH <3 VALVE NO MATTER WHAT!!!

I think they are ok from here on out. 1-2 days really isnt that big of a deal for a preload. I wouldnt even count it as a delay with all the other stuff they have been doing. I think HL2 comes out when everyone expects it in September at somepoint. Who knows, they may be delaying it until Monday to announce it has gone gold, preload until the Wens or Thurs of next week (Sept 1, 2) and then release it. I am most likely wrong, but I feel that Valve really does want to get the monkey off its back as much as you do.

Thanks for giving us some perspective Kschreck. Funny stuff Fusion  This is more funny than it is disappointing.

TO BE CONTINUED!!!

Don't they learn anything, I mean what does it take to shut the hell up when it comes to HL2 preload or anything? It would be far more effective to just let it get around when all of a sudden it shows up on steam "HL2 Preload". This way they wouldn't have to set a date, they wouldn't have to piss fans off and we wouldn't have any clue that they are absolutely terrible when it comes to time management skills. In short Valve shut up about future releases that we now KNOW you will delay.

Do yo uwant an unfinished game with lots of bugs?

then quit complaining

sure the preload was today, but you wont be able to paly it for awhille yet.

I think they will delay, but at least there not going to ship a game with bugs or ship a game that wont satisfy our needs for half-life. :D

They will delay all subsequent delays, resulting in a prominent delay in delay threads complaining about delays.

does that sound like complaining? its a poll, calm down, no need to find reasons to act like that.

This has nothing to do with people wanting it sooner.

They are merely saying that Valve should stfu about any date at all becuase the will get it wrong at least twice before it ever happens.

Im sure HL2 is gonna rock and etc.... but ive seen more orginisational skills from a Hamster.

Sig material

I'm not one to really make promises, but I guarantee this game will be out before I'm 30. (A solid 11 years, Valve.)

Okay, then I'll likewise guarantee that it will be done AFTER I hit 30. :p

*grabs his walker and saunters out*
